The vsa light is on every time I drive the triangle hazard light and the abs light is on.
I am having issues with my transmission. My gears get stuck between 2nd and 3rd gear while driving. It loses power and I have to switch to neutral and put it back in drive in order for it to become unstuck. I have taken it to Honda, and they told me it was the computer, and several other things. They replaced $2000 worth of parts and the problem still happens. I took it back to Honda and they told me I needed a new transmission after they took $2000 from me. This initially started approximately 5 months ago when my engine light came on.
My husband and I were on a trip and I didn't realize it, but people kept flashing us and I did not have my lights on. When we pulled over, my husband could not get out of his side of the door. It would not open. We were on the freeway, on a cold rainy day and visibility was bad, and not being able to have lights, or defroster work properly put us in a hazardous position. Later I found out as I took it to a mechanic was that our fuse box was not working correctly, and the lights on the right side only and the door and the defroster were not working. It cost me $951. 09 to get this repaired on my 2008 Honda Accord. I think when people get in a car, and drive it especially in hazardous conditions, everything should work properly. I did see on several sites there was a recall on this, but I never received a recall letter, or was contacted by my dealer. I would like to be reimbursed for the $951. 09 OH, and I also would like other Honda owners to be aware of this problem. It could possibly prevent an accident, someone in dire situation that affects their safety. The car was being driven on a rainy day, and the defroster could not clear the windows, we could not put the heater on, could not roll the window down, could not get out of the car because the lock would not come up. Regards, amy lowery.
Car lights flicker on and off while car is in motion. At stop light or stop sign, car will just shut off, requireing the driver to put it in park and restart the engine.
V tec actuator makes griding noise when start a car for 2 to3 seconds.

Door lock, rear passenger side, automatically unlocks when I lock the doors. This has happened before on the driver side, rear door and was replaced due to recall.
Have tried to get all 4 windows to roll down none of them will have had it tested and they cannot find out what the problem is to me this is a safety problem just in case the car doors won't open then you need to roll down the windows and you can't.

Takata recall and srs safety went to the autoairbagsettlement. Com website and unable to find any links to file a claim online, this has been repaired but still want t be a part of it. The other recall still has no remedy at this time and judging from the text on NHTSA recall #16v-056 it sounds serious. Please help me to remedy this situation. Thanks,.
Takata recall sometimes my sideairbag signal blinks and when I press the brake paddle hardly it sounds like rough and also sometimes when I touch the door I feel little bit electric shock.
Car sporadically dying (electrically and all) while in drive or in motion of forward driving (while going 30 + mph) and then just as sporadically turning itself back on. Makes chain dragging sound similar to worn brake pads but the sound will change pitches while driving between 0-43mph. After 43 mph it no longer makes odd sounds but as soon as deceleration begins it is at risk to either temporarily "die' or slightly jerk and almost "die". This has happened while driving up to 20 times within 3 miles and the first time it "died" was while pulling into a parking spot and fully stopping. It has not done it for the last couple days and local mechanic could not diagnose it as the battery was in great condition and everything appeared to be plugged where it should be.
Takata recall, we bought this car for over 16,000 at gormleys automotive. After getting it home there were certain repairs that we needed ASAP. The car was definitely in a previous accident as we could see when the paint chipped that there was the original Honda white underneath. The car has 3 recalls. Lights come on that do not make sense and even though we didn't receive a manual, I looked things up on the internet. The engine belt rumbles, the suspension is way off, the leather seats and sidearms have ripped because they were replaced by cheap parts. The car loan is for 331. 00 monthly and still is owed a siginificant amount on. Steward financial harasses with phone calls if you are an hr late on a payment. Unacceptable. I am disabled and can barely make ends meet. I do not want to pay for a car that runs like a hoopdee when its supposed to run like a Honda. Turning it does not grab the road, stationary the engine rumbles. I am a female so I do not know to much about cars. What I do know is that I cannot afford to have repairs done on a car with such a large amount owed on it.
Vsa brake and abs light come on and off intermittently. Braking test with lights on show abs does not work. Numerous complaints on web sites about moisture entering the control module. No response from Honda other than replace the $1200. 00 module.

Takata recall, excessive oil consumption, vtc actuator loud grinding on start up cold or warm!!!!! Honda would not fix because I was 15,000 miles over their grace period. I asked for good will and a big company that Honda is sure won't go bankrupt fixing my car. . . . But the girl I talked to was some what rude to me and just asked if I wanted the better business beau phone number. Their needs to be a class action law suit for the replacement of the vtc actuator, because sooner or later I will have engine failure and Honda knows about the problem. I have read 90% of the 2008 4 cylinder Accords have the problem and some of the newer models have the same problem. And I have heard they will replace the part, and soon after it does it again!!!! defective part!!!! I hope I can get some help, because Honda knows about the problem and I cant afford a new engine when the timing chain goes and everything with it!!!! thank you.
Tl- the contact owns a 2008 Honda Accord. The contact stated that the vehicle hesitated to start and an abnormal noise when shifting gears. The failure occurred on numerous occasions. The vehicle was taken to a dealer, who diagnosed that the vtc actuator needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The VIN was not available. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 50,000. Djr.
For the 2nd time since 2008, I've had to replace the sparkplugs due to pcm issues. The engine light will come on and gives an error code of p0303. Unfortunately you can only go to Honda to have the computer updated, and they will try to sell additional services. Today they refused to update my computer stating the only way to fix was to replace all the sparkplugs despite the service bulletin stating otherwise. Despite this being a manufacturer issue Honda has forced car owners to pay for this repair with no true fix existing.
Engine makes noise when starting up that goes away after around 5 seconds. Was told atc actuator was bad.
Back in August I took my car to southeastern Honda dealer like I routinely do to have my oil changed. It was suggested by service rep to change my transmission fluid, which I did. On my way home from work one night my engine light started flashing and my car was driving like it is going to shut off. I took my car to the dealer and they hooked it up to a machine and said it was 2 of my spark plugs, it's a common problem with the Accords v6 so it's best to change all of plugs which I agreed too and this will solve the problem. On 2/7/13 I took my car to southeastern Honda for my routine oil change and again the service rep suggested my power steering fluid and brake fluid needed to be changed which I agreed too. On my way home the vsa, brake light and abs light came on in the car. As so as I was able to I took it back to southeastern Honda, the same service rep said they hook it up and it was the spark plugs which was change back in August and it should not be occurring because all the plugs were changed and it's a defect in the engine. He will speak with the good will Honda person because the car needs an engine. He called back a couple of days later and say it's the engine and I will be required to pay half for the engine. I left my car at the dealer for a week, paid a few dollars short of $3000. 00 dollars and my engine vsa, brake and abs lights is still coming on. I googled this problem and alot of the Hondas have this problem. I will like to know what is the status of this problem.
The car did not want to move after it was put in gear. When the car did move it was very hesitant and would not pick up speed at first, then would gradually pick up speed. The car is back at the dealership and first they said it was transmission sensor, then said it was the computer, after replacing that the car begin a rough idle.
The warning light on the dashboard panel is warning that the passenger airbag as deployed. At the same time the "fasten seatbelt" warning stopped working and the seal around the passenger window is loose. Coincidentally, a relative also has a 2008 Honda Accord and the exact same things are happening. According to many internet entries, the same thing is happening to many 2008 Honda Accords. I cannot find information on a recall. It is a safety hazard, because some owners have reported the airbag deploying while driving.
Sometimes my car makes a grinding noise when I turn the key to start it. I took my car twice to the metro Honda dealer in montclair, CA; but even though I have the extended guarantee, they refuse to check my car. I do not know what to do. I did some research on the internet, and I found out that a lot of people are having the same problem; and some of them had replaced the vtc actuator, and the problem was fixed. I mentioned this to the maintenance experts at metro Honda, but they still do not care. My concern is that this is a situation that is not on a recall list. What should I do?.
I had just bought a used 2008 Accord, while driving at 45-50 mph at night,I noticed the headlights would blink. After several times,I got curious and started timing the occurance. The lights woiuld blink every 35 -45 sec. The heat was on since it is cold in nh in Jan. I when to the Honda dealership and they asked if the heat was on,and to try shutting the heater off to see if it stopped, which it did. My concern is traffic at intersecting roads could assume that I am flashing the lights to let them proceed. ,not to mention that it is aggrevating and this is the first vehicle that I have owned in over 40 years of driving that has this problem. I see that other people have the same issuebut Honda says that is the way it is. This is not acceptable in this vehicle or any other vehicle in th 21st century.
Headlights flicker out completely or dim severely when coming to a stop or the condenser for the ac/defrost kicks on. I have researched this and it appears to be an issue due to the electric load detector. Although Honda had said this might be normal I find that while driving my 4 yr. Old son around it is a safety concern and would like to have the problem looked into.
At night the headlights dim repeatedly while the car is at a stop. While driving the headlights flicker or blink every 15-25 seconds while the air conditioning is operating. This could appear as if I am flashing other drivers and can be construed as an aggressive act. I would not have bought this car had I known about this design flaw. However Honda released a statement on their website that this flicker of the headlights is normal and was designed that way to increase fuel efficiency.
2008 Honda Accord. Consumer states when driving with lights on, when defroster or air kicks on the lights dim the consumer also stated there was a problem with the window.
Lights dim all the time driving down the road. Honda says no fix.
I have had 5 door actuators changed on my car - all doors and one door was twice. I have a 6th one out but I have not gotten it fixed. The dealership told me that "sometimes things happen". I tried to talk with Honda, they did pay for most of them repairs but refused to admit it was a problem. The dealership never could tell me why it was happening, just kept replacing the actuators. I got tired of fighting with them, that is why the last one has not been replaced. This is my first and last Honda. I was extremely disappointed with my service from Honda. We bought the car brand new off the lot and it started within a year and a half of purchase.
I purchased a 2008 Honda Accord and the lights continuously flicker whenever I use the ac or heating. The flickering is so prevalent that I'm afraid that others drivers may think I'm flashing my lights at them. This is a physical safety issue as I'm afraid of road rage as well as the fear that the car will ultimately stop functioning due to the amount of power that appears to be being used when the flickering happens.
