My Honda Accord 08 steering wheel vibrates and shakes as when I press on the brake traveling 60+ miles on the freeway. Honda dealer told me that I should replace the brakes and I did but still has the same problem. I feel unsafe driving my car on the freeway. And replacing brakes when my car has only 20,000 miles does not make any sense to me. My steering wheel started to shake when the car had less than 10,000 miles on it. What should I do??.
2008 Honda Accord ex-v6 steering wheel vibration at different speeds and in different situations occurs intermittently, never seems to happen at dealership. Concerned that it could lead to loss of control or catastrophic failure. Honda dealer denies existence of generalized problem with model.
The contact owns a 2008 Honda Accord. While driving 65 mph, the steering wheel began to vibrate heavily and shake. The contact took the vehicle to the dealer, but they have been unable to diagnose the cause of the failure. They have rotated the tires and also replaced them; however, the failure still persists. She took the vehicle to michelin ntb and, after a test drive, they stated that the failure could stem from the suspension or transmission. Michelin could not determine the cause of the failure as well. The contact believes that a crash could occur because she is unable to control the steering at high speeds. The failure mileage was 8,200 and current mileage was 8,300. Updated 11/25/08. Updated 11/25/08.

2008 Honda Accord ex sedan - steering wheel shakes/vibrates at highway speeds (60-65 mph). I fear that this creates a safety hazard since front wheels are continually shaking. The dealer will not take any further action based on instruction from Honda.
