2010 Honda Accord. Consumer states while driving he let down the rear windows and a loud noise and rolling vibration occurred the dealer informed the consumer the problem was due to the aerodynamics of the vehicle and there was nothing that could be done.
On Sunday, November 28, 2010, upon opening the trunk, the rear cargo area cover dropped down and hit my forehead leaving a large bruised lump. Today is Tuesday, November 30, 2010 and I still have pain and headaches. The cover was completely unhooked with nothing holding it safely in place. There is no locking mechanism for the rear cargo area cover. It appears that the side hooks became unhooked (pressure fit only) and the "mounting pins' are as the fletcher Honda service manager said, only for guidance and alignment. Not to provide support or keep the rear cargo area cover in place. There is nothing to prevent the rear area cargo cover to not fall out and down. And when explaining to fletcher Honda's service manager on Monday, November 29, 2010 the problem and unhooking only one side hook, the cover fell down on that side first, then the other side hook unhooked and the entire cover rell down. The service manager says he has no ability to change designs, however, he said he will pass this information onto his Honda rep. I was given a 1-800 number to call. Today, November 30, I called and this information is to be given to a Honda case manager within 1-2 business days. Also - previous complaint was filed -- 10368291. I provided the wrong VIN as I was looking at our Buick's insurance card, not the Honda crosstour. Correct VIN is supplied with this revised complaint.
2010 Honda Accord crosstour. Consumer states design defect impedes proper rear view vision. The consumer stated the rear window of the vehicle has a heavy bar running horizontally in the middle of the window. The bar may have been required for the structure of the rear door, but it substantially blocked the rear vision for the driver.
