1 Trunk Lid problem

Failure Date: 08/14/2012

The trunk lid on my wife's 2011 Honda Accord came down and hit my forehead and caused a cut and bleeding. The Honda trunk lid does not stay up in any position other than all the way up. They have no safety devices installed on the truck lid as other vehicles have. This trunk lid has hit my wife and I a few times. When we push it up, we expect it to stay up in all positions like other cars. This is a unsafe condition that could cause a serious accident to anyone not familiar with this situation. I went to the Honda dealer and also wrote to their headquarters and they said that there is nothing they can do about the trunk lid. "it would need a modification and we don't do that". Please look into this serious safety problem. The power of the lid coming down so fast cloud cause serious injuries, to adults and children.
