Car was in drive of home, started car and all warning lights stayed on. Would not clear. Drove vehicle to dealership, brakes were barley operable, car was sluggish and power steering almost non-existent. Could have been very dangerous had this happened on the freeway. Dealership first replaced the battery, clearing the codes for a few minutes, the next day they are replacing a bad vsa module that control the abs and other safety functions of the car. The Accord only has 67k miles and these sensors are 1700 plus dollars. Researching, I have found a great deal of these failing -usually when the Honda is in motion. I was fortunate mine was stationary at the time.
Front brake squeal when driving, steering or applying brakes. Sounds like the wear sensors but in fact I was told by the dealer (bay ridge Honda) in brooklyn n. Y. That it is the clips that hold the pads in place. I was also told that Honda is aware of this problem and they are waiting for the repair parts to arrive along with the service bulletin.

Hope it is soon because for a new car it sounds bad and I wonder just what this rubbing of the clips my be doing to the rotors. So far, no real brake problems except for the squeal. I had a 04 Accord exl v-6 and sometimes I wonder why I traded it in. Never had any trouble with it. . . . .
