Vehicle stall, failed to accelerate . The stall is common and Honda needs to fix this issue before someone gets into an accident . I went to Honda and no issue was found, I am thinking this might be fuel pump recall.
Tl the contact owns a 2013 Honda Accord. While driving at an unknown speed, the forward collision avoidance warning indicator illuminated. Takata recall my complaint is about abs pump anti-lock brake part modulator assembly sedan cvt fits 13 Accord 503036 the lights are on in the dashboard and in the dealer told me to replace that part.
Car clicks before starting, cuts off while driving, steering locks when car cuts off. I drive a considerable amount of time on the freeway with my family. This is a very dangerous situation to the lives of myself, family and other drivers on the road. This is a daily occurrence. Speed varies when this happens. Sometimes it occurs from a cold or warmed start.
When pushing my ignition button, my car won't start, it makes a chocking noise. This chocking noise happens one to twice daily for the last several months. The car usually starts after two tries of pushing the ignition button. This ignition failure can happen failure can happen first thing in the morning or even when my car has been in use all day.
Three malfunction indicators have come on in car and will not go off. Those indicators are tpms tire pressure light, vsa vehicle stability assits and eps electronic power steering. This only began after I had my brakes in rear of car done and car was actually stationary when these lights came on. The lights will stay on when vehicle is in motion with really no change in driving. I have googled the issue and found that many Honda owners are having the same issue.
My 2013 Honda Accord touring model electric power steering failed. The car only has 49,000 miles. The dealer states it is no longer a extended warranty issue and will not cover issue. The problem was noticed while driving the vehicle and then taken to the dealer for evaluation. The problem is loss of power steering and/or a sudden increase in steering effort and dealer identified that the electric power steering box needs replacement for a total of $2100. 00. For a "new" car this is ridiculous and should be Honda's fix not the costumer.
Car was in drive of home, started car and all warning lights stayed on. Would not clear. Drove vehicle to dealership, brakes were barley operable, car was sluggish and power steering almost non-existent. Could have been very dangerous had this happened on the freeway. Dealership first replaced the battery, clearing the codes for a few minutes, the next day they are replacing a bad vsa module that control the abs and other safety functions of the car. The Accord only has 67k miles and these sensors are 1700 plus dollars. Researching, I have found a great deal of these failing -usually when the Honda is in motion. I was fortunate mine was stationary at the time.
To begin with I've had to change my battery atleast 4 times(one time it exploded with battery acid)in the last 2 years. Also 6 different lights in the panel are on(brake/abs/tire pressure/a steering wheel with an !/maintenance/power steering. I recently purchased 4 new tires from firestone and got the car aligned the mechanic said he tried to reset the notification on the dashboard but it wouldn't turn off. I also had a family mechanic put it under the computer which diagnosed an electrical issue. Another issue the car is having is it short circuits my head lights when it rain, which means I'm replacing them almost monthly. The car tends to shake when its stopped but only if the ac is on. So in conclusion after reading this recall in credit karma I am sure my car needs to be repaired.
I currently have the front collision warning and lane departure failure readout display along with the following yellow service lights; fcw, ldw , esp, abs, electronic steering and tps lights activated. The front collision warning, lane departure safety feature, anti-braking system and electronic stability are not working at this time as I drove to the dealership this morning while it was snowing (vehicle obviously in motion). I"m currently waiting for resolution from the dealership and american Honda corporation.
When I stopped for paying toll, car displayed engine light and steering safely light with jerking sound, not acceleration and steering g locked for few seconds and then released . I pulled the vehicle to parking lot and stopped. . . I started the vehicle after 3 minutes . . . There is a rattling noise in the engine and (fcw) warning came. . . Says fcw system failed . I left the car at parking lot and towing back to dealer tomorrow. . . Not safe to drive as the accelation is very erratic and consistent . . . Traveling with my kids and scared of losing control of the car. . . It is on interstate 294 close o'hare airport . . Christmas day and all repair shops closed.
Wheel hub assembly all four replaced was defective the all has 72,000 mile and now the abs has went bad and the tps system is bad . The aluminum rims for breaking do to salt corrosion two of the four rims broke cost to replace each rim 435 if the rims aren't apart of safety and abs and tps isn't a quality components didn't know car is safe on the road.
Hesitation when moving forward. It bumps three to four times on low speeds.
My 2013 Honda Accord touring (29,262 miles) will not crank nor start. There has been no previous problems/warnings, just wouldn't start one morning. It's parked in my garage. I put a new battery in the key fob although the other one was working to see if that was the problem. When I press it the car unlocks as normal. The interior & exterior lights comes on and the directions of how to start the car still show. The car is in park, I put my foot on the brakes & press the start/stop button. There is a slight beeping sound and a few lights showing in the dash, but it won't start. When I press the button again the accessory mode comes on as normal. The radio plays, my phone connects, the navigation system works, lights works fine, etc. When I press it once to turn it off, all the lights in the dash light up, the ac comes on, & all the pre-programmed warning lights come on one by one with a beep. Finally I press it one final time to turn it off. So everything works fine, it just won't start. This leads me to conclude that the starter has gone out like multiple complaints I've read. I'm currently waiting for the dealer to verify that. After only 3 years & 29,000 miles, I should not be having these problems. And I definitely should have to pay $700-$800 which is estimated starter replacement cost.
I would like to make a complaint about a serious safety concern that happened to me recently while driving my Honda Accord 2013 ,luckily I was able to avoid an accident. I am afraid to drive my car for fear for my life. I was driving in pennsylvania on rt 33 south traveling at about 65 mph when my steering wheel locked. I had to lean into the steering wheel with all my body weight to try to get it to turn but it was locked . I was able to stop the car and shut it off. After a few minutes I started it back up and it returned to normal,I was lucky that part of the road I was driving on was straight and curve or mountain section like most of pennsylvania. I am afraid that this will happen against and I won't be so lucky. Please investigate my vehicle and work with Honda to get this fixed so no one has to die. It more than this ,I been having problems with the radio, sunroof, kieys alarm go on went I was driving .
Cannot steer when turning and when turning the wheels keep turning, cannot get the speed up normally have to pump the gas hard for car to accelerate.
It so far has happened to me twice that I need to jump-start the car. There probably has some electrical leakage issues or something related to it. The first time it was more than a year ago that when I came earlier to a doctor appointment waiting for the clinic to open, I turned off the car and left the cd player on. But it only played for about half an hour or so it turned off automatically due to the battery power has already been depleted and the card could not start at all that I had to call aaa after the doctor appointment to jump-start for me. I thought at that time it was due to the cd player took too much power so I did not complain about it. But the second time it was a few weeks ago on Sunday, which give me the concerns that there must be some electrical leakage on my car. After parking for the church meeting and turned off the car, both my wife and I decided to open the window a little bit to let the air flows in the hot weather since we parked under a covered parking and would not worry about possible rainfall. So before we open the doors, we opened both front windows a very little bit and left for the meetings. Then about 3. 5-4 hours later when it was time to go home, we found out the car would not start, and we had to ask for help to jump-start it again. This time it gave a definite guess that there must be some electrical leakage in the car. I also complained in early June of this year about the steering wheel lock issue. I received a mail from Honda to fix it, but when I call the dealers, none of them even offer loaner cars for such recall and manufacture failure repairs. Honda is bad for things like this. I don't know whether I should purchase Honda again in the future. I never complained once for my Toyota for years. Even they schedule for manufacture recalls, which I never encounter myself, I did not have to worry about the loaner car.
Went for lunch, and parked my car on the street. After finishing lunch, about half an hour later, got into the car and proceeded to start it. Everything worked, but the car immediately shut off (radio and ac would stay on however). Tried again, but the same thing happened. Followed by a check engine light warning, and tire pressure warning. Took key out of ignition, waited a minute, before trying again. This time, turned off radio and ac. Car immediately shut off still. Tried 2-3 more times, and car finally started, all with a total of 4 warning lights. Check engine, tire pressure, power steering, and another one I cannot recall. Took it the dealer immediately, and waited 2-4hrs for them to tell me, the throttle body needs replacing. They advised it wouldn't be safe for me to drive the car home, so they gave me a free rental until it can be fixed.
During low speed driving (approximately 30-40 mph) and squeaking noise was emiitting from the right rear tire. Prior to this, the power steering warning light, anti lock brake warning light, anti skid warning light, all illuminated. When the car was diagnosed at dch Honda, temecula it was reported that the right rear wheel bearing was broken / falling apart. It was stated by the mechanic that the car would not be safe to drive until the bearing was replaced and that this was covered under the powertrain warranty. However, there was no previous notification (technical bulletins, recalls) on this issue. Drivers beware. The mechanic informed me that there was significant "play" in the rear wheel while attached to the hub. If the bearing came completely undone, the wheel could come off while driving.
The vehicle steering simply 'shut-down', or locked-up out of nowhere. It appears the power steering system simply failed. I was only able to regain control of the steering by bringing the vehicle to a full stop in order to turn it off and then restart it. . . As though I were rebooting a crashed computer! the issue repeated itself three times the next day, once while driving at full speed on a public street. We resolved to stop driving it, but by reflex I took it out the third consecutive day only to have the issue recur twice, thankfully none of these failures occurred while we were executing a turn, otherwise we may have crashed into something or someone, as some of the other complaints describe. I have now put the vehicle into storage until Honda addresses the issue definitively, as others describe dealership diagnoses across the board, with virtually all admitting the issue was unresolved, even after repair or replacement of the diagnosed component(s). Whether I simply have a lemon, or this is a recall issue in the making, I do not yet know, but what I do know is that this appears to be a very serious safety issue rendering the vehicle too dangerous to drive.
Pulling into a parking space, stopped before I could put the car into park, the vehicle lunged forward into a brick wall before stopping. Prior to this incident on 4/28/14 the windshield was replaced due to a crack in the windshield after this the ldw (lane warning device) didn't function properly. 4/30/14 another windshield was installed and the ldw did not function properly. I was told to have the camera on the rear view mirror recalibrated, before I could have this service preformed the accident occurred.
Two months after the purchase, the navi went out on the vehicle. The navi was repaired; however, March 3rd, the back-up camera went dark on the screen; after several attempts it worked again. Mar 8-10th, I drove the vehicle with no problems. Mar 11th, I worked from home; the vehicle was not moved during the entire time. The vehicle keys remained on the kitchen table. Tuesday, Mar 11th, at 3:00a. M. (spouse moved his vehicle to the street) the vehicle windows were all closed. I reiterate, the keys were on the table and the windows to the vehicle were all closed. Mar 12th, 7:00, on my way to work, I noticed first that the driver side window was completely rolled down and rain had poured in. When I opened the car door, I was amazed to see that all of the windows were down and the sun roof completely open. I've never even opened all the windows at the same time since owning the vehicle. Shortly after driving the car, all the system lights came on and fds failed was displayed on the dashboard indicator. I called Honda, informed them of the problem and then drove the vehicle to the dealership. I was later informed by the service assistant that both boxes (I'm guessing electrical boxes) had a substantial amount of water in them, shorting out the system. Honda is seemingly comfortable with shifting the cause of the problem, e. G. , that I probably. . . Left the windows open, pressed all three buttons on the automatic key (didn't even know you could do this) or maybe had the keys in my purse and something pushed all three buttons simultaneously. In short, the window as well as who knows other parts were affected by a malfunction in the electrical system.
While driving at approx. 10mph, I pressed the engine start/stop switch and it shut the engine down completely. After applying my brakes and coming to a full stop, I put the transmission back into park and it started automatically back up. This event should be investigated by Honda and a safety interface designed and installed to prevent this from happening at full highway speeds possibly resulting in a serious and deadly accident ASAP. The engine start/stop switch is located approximately 2 inches away from the air conditioning temperature control up and down button switches. The depression of the start/stop switch could occur while driving attempting to control the temperature of the air conditioning.
The contact owns a 2013 Honda Accord. The contact stated that the low beam headlights did not work properly. The contact had to use the high beams to see when driving at night. The contact also stated that the stability control activated without warning and engaged the braking system. The vehicle had not been diagnosed by the dealer or a mechanic. The VIN was not available. The failure and current mileages were 4,000.
