It stated forward collision warning failed, all lights popped up.
I purchased this 2014 Honda Accord 11-01-2021 from a private owner they had the speed odometer changed and charged me more than what the car was worth.
Vsa solenoid valve malfunction, vsa modulator control unit power source circuit (ig) low voltage, low tire pressure. Abs-121-11, power steering -85-01 air conditioning module -b 1241 4 Smart entry ecu codes- b12d0-ig1a power output malfunction b12d-ig1b and b12d0-power output malfunction b12d3 ig latch circuit(keep hold circuit) malfunction fcw system.
Inexplicably and randomy, the fcw comes on the 2014 Honda Accord ex-l. It is accompanied by most the other lights in the dashboard coming on (ex. Lane departure, anti lock brakes, power steering, traction control. When you turn car off and wait, the system seems to fix itself and all is fine until it recurs. It's very scary. My mechanic diagnosed and spoke to Honda who advised replacement of Honda abs control module/modulator assembly. This is a very expensive part (approx. $1300) and unavailable at Honda. The concern is the safety situation plus the fact that this is a wide problem impacting so many other customers. . Read more...
After a minor accident, once turned off, the car would not restart for about 20 minutes. All dash lights flicker and there is a clicking sound. Insurance company will not cover assessment or any repair as they say it cannot be linked to the loss, even though I never had issues with this prior to the accident and it was reported in my accident claim. No issues show on a diagnostic test, but I continue to experience issues with the start button connection. I can hold the brake and press the start button but either have to hold it for 20 - 30 seconds while it clicks or goes dim (while you can hear things trying to happen in the engine), or the brake/start button must be applied multiple times to get it to start. I also think that power is beginning to flicker during driving and now I'm really afraid. I have 105,000 miles.
Car dashboard is showing failure of abs, fcw, ldw related to the abs modulator According Honda dealership diagnostics. This issue seems to be related to this generation of Honda Accords as per other reports on forums and discussions. It impacts the braking of the vechicle as well as advanced safety features that are relied on. I have take the car to be checked out by a Honda dealership and it was identified as an issue with the abs modulator.
For more than a year, my car has been having issues starting up. It rarely starts on the first attempt. It usually starts on the second attempt. There are times when it takes multiple attempts to start I have spent over $2000 ,replacing new battery, replacing new starter and after few weeks the issue happened again today my car will not start and I cant get to work leaving me stranded in the middle of highway heading to work. . . This is a lawsuit to Honda for not recalling and fixing the issue that they sold us brand new cars with well known issues I will contact my family attorney since theres hundreds of others with the same issues. . . Obviously Honda isnt as good as they used to be . . Never ever again Honda in my family.
I am having starter issues with my vehicle. I have taken great care of this vehicle and started having issues with the car last year. I replaced the starter because it would not start back, if I turned the car off while running errands ( shopping or filling up with gas). I have now replaced the starter 3 times, and replaced the ignition switch and batteries. I have run every possible diagnostic at the dealership and at local mechanics in my city. I am concerned that I am reading that many drivers across the USA are facing this issue and the dealership cannot fix it or the local repair shops.
Starter problem of the 2014 Honda Accord.
The car does not start consistently. I have replaced the battery two times and the starter. I will turn the key and the engine will not crank over, sometimes it will start up 30 seconds or a minute later after I attempt a couple of times. The Honda mechanic forum is stating that this is a very common problem from owners of this ninth gen Honda Accord.
Unknown.
The dash board isn't showing any signs of default and the car has trouble starting.
February 13, 2021 around 11:45 I was driving with my son and his friend & my dog with me, I about to make a left in intersection when I hit the gas pedal I hear a noise under my car (boom) then the car won't go foward even though I hit gas. Then I put in reverse it's the same thing it won't stop the car are still moving backward so I hit the brake and the car stop in the middle of intersection. So I put the gear in "p" park position but the car are still moving down the hill. Slowly by slowly backwards and then I hit the snow on the side road that's why the car stop. I'm so nervous on that moment even my son and his friend are scared.
To whom it may concern; I had an appointment for today (02/13/2021) at Honda of milford in the state of connecticut in USA for safety recall. I was denied for a service on safety recall after I have asked the receptionist at the service desk when I he will be able to help me while I was waiting in line more than few minutes. The receptionist was using obscene language when I was waiting in line in an unprofessional manner. Another employee of this dealership has also involved and asked me to leave the property because I asked him who he was. I believe I was treated unfairly and denied a service for safety recall after simply asking for an assistance while waiting in line. Please, regard my complaint into consideration. Thank you, respectfully yours.
Starter malfunctioned while parked on the street. This is a widely reported issue with hundreds of reports online and no recall. Cost to replace at dealer is over $700. Car died on the street.
The car will not start, but only sometimes. When you push the button, the power comes on and it clicks but doesn't start. Several lights come on including starter system. It usually will start after a few tries but last night would not at all and I was stranded in a parking lot. There are several complaints in the Honda forums and this was recalled and fixed for the 2013's but not the 2014"s.
The failing starter is a well known issue among the Honda Accord community. The starter begins to fail prematurely and eventually will fail to start the car leaving the driver and or their passengers stranded. This can happen at anytime/anywhere the vehicle needs to be started. There is a current TSB to replace the starter and turn the flex plate one bolt hole over. Many times this happens after any warranty has expired leaving the owner to pay out of pocket a large amount of money.
Honda known service bulletin- affecting 2013-2016 Accords and 2013-15 cross tours, the starter grinds and spins at start up, car does not start. Honda's possible causes: the clearance between the starter motor gear and the torque converter ring gear is not optimal. Shouldn't this be a recall? other than my car not starting and the cost near $1,000 to repair, can this cause a fire?.
Push start does not always work. My mechanic says it is not the starter.
The start system on the car fails intermittently. Every now and then, when you push the start button, it clicks and does nothing.
On October 31, the axle on my care snapped in half. I was in a shopping center area, trying to make a turn and the car would not move forward or backward. I learned that the axle was broken when I had the car towed to a Honda dealership. I had the car repaired in the amount of $312. 49. The mechanic told me that this was a freak incident and that it was a defect in the axle because it should not have broken in that manner. I want Honda to reimburse for the cost to repair. It might have been more of a serious situation if this had happened on the highway.
The vehicle is taking longer to go into engine mode. It's lagging.
My 2014 Honda Accord coupe ex-l v6 has 58. 000 miles. I recently had my starter replaced and torque converter adjusted. I was informed that this is a issue Honda is aware of and has created a bulletin (16-002). This appears to be a common issue, and why wouldn't there be a recall issued. It's clear this is a manufacturing and equipment issue in Accord v6 2013-2016 and crosstour v6 2013-15. Why is the repair at the consumers cost instead of Honda?.
2014 Honda Accord will not start. I press the brake but it's hard to press down. Push start will not go in to start the car. The car has a brand new battery and the computer system was reset. This is the second time I'm experiencing this with my car. The car does nothing no sound. Everything just lock up.
Honda Accord sport 2014, new battery and new starter. Some time start normal some time dead. After giving jump, start and no problem for few weeks and start again. Do not know what is the problem.
My Accord's backup camera stopped working, for no apparent reason. The screen is showing multi-angle, but no picture. The car was in reverse, of course, when I noticed it. Talking to the Honda dealership, was of course surprised.
Today is February 24 2020 and my car started doing a weird noise on the engine what it sound like a misfire but all the lights started coming up on my dashboard while losing power on it was very scary cuz a lot of cars were passing by at a high speed on the freeway I was real scary cars almost hit me . . The car was service a week before they recommended to replace ignition coils and spark plugs which got done on it ever since then my car has had a weird rattling noise when starting it up after a few minutes it goes away hope these issues are corrected bye dinners under ships or manufacturers for safety purposes thank you.
Backup camera shows black screen while reversing. Intermittent failure at first, the completely died. When the vehicle was put it reverse the camera screen with guide lines displayed, but no image was visible.
I have had 1 oem Honda starter replaced and 2 aftermarket ones. The car intermittently starts. Sometimes immediately and sometimes leaves me stranded. I took the car in a few times to the Honda dealership in the past and since I couldn't replicate it they couldn't do anything and was charged the diagnostic fee $180. This car is so unreliable that I can't even have my kids drive it fearing them being stranded. I had the car towed at least 6 times. To have the car start fine the next day or even hours later. There are so many complaints with others owning the same generation Honda Accord on all the forums online. It is not safe at all. I have been dealing with this around 40k and now my car is 160k, since no one seems to be able to fix it.
During colder weather and upon cold start engine rattles until car engine is warm.
Oil is excessively burning. Alternator isn't charging car battery.
Defective starter; I'm having issues with the starter. At times my 2014 Honda Accord v6 will not start. After the third time, it will start successfully.
Intermediate starter screech when starting vehicle. Vehicle will not start when this happens and happens two or three times before the vehicle starts.
The car did not turn on. Had to jump it. After jump battery was still good. But all safety light in the car came on. The battery is 2-year-olds and still under warranty. Took it to the dealer and they are testing it now. But dealer mentioned that they need to put a new battery in to test it first.
I have replaced the starter on this car 2 separate occasions and it still has the same issue. Some days the car starts just fine and other times you go to art art the car and it doesn't start and makes this terrifying grinding noise. Honda really needs to address this issue. I have been dealing with this for the last 2 years. The car isn't old enough to be having these kind of issues. I am always fearful that I'm going to be in a situation where I need to get out of somewhere as fast as possible and I wouldn't be able to do so due to the car not starting right. It is unsafe for me to take my family places for fear that we will be stranded. I have been stranded due to this car not starting at all a few months after replacing the starter.
