The backup camera display has a black screen and no image of what's behind the vehicle. Sometimes it comes back on but is fuzzy and blurry. It then goes back to black. In both cases the rear back up camera feature is useless and causing a safety hazard for the driver. Additionally the seat memory feature has gone out as well. It no longer remembers the location for driver 1 or driver 2. The movement of the driver's seat is also affected and does not move continuously when the controls are engaged. This affects the safety of the driver and proper seat location and viewpoint.
Have had problem with driver seat/housing falling apart. Have taken it to dealer twice and it's happened again for the third time. The first time it happened was when the car was under a year old. The second time it was some parts that were replace. Well it has fallen apart again.
My car was parked in my driveway when I came out in the morning after a thunderstorm and the sunroof and windows were half way down, car is soaked. It's a 2014 Honda Accord and I told the dealer mechanic, they said it was my fault I must have hit the lock button on my car keypad twice, but I lock the car from the handle and leave my keys on a key ring on the wall not in my purse. He also told me water wouldn't hurt the leather seats. They didn't even help me dry my car out. This is the second time my car has done this and theirs no way to fix it, I will be trading it in on something that's not Honda before winter comes and I end up with snow in my car. If you are considering buying a Honda, don't ! I thought this wouldn't happen to me, that it was few and far between but it did happen, twice!.
I am reporting that there are three things that needs to be addressed on the 2014 Honda Accord. 1. The drivers side seat, deflates and it consistantly has to be pumped back up while driving. 2. I've had to purchase (4) new car batteries for this 2014 Honda Accord that I own since I purchased it in 2016. That's unacceptable especially when there has been a recalled by Honda, on the 2016, for a battery senior issue? 3 the brakes on my 2014 Honda Accord car is most dangerous. When the brake is engaged and pressed hard, the brake fills with air and barely stops the car. I replaced the pad and rototes and it did not change a thing. Please have someone to check these things as well. I. The other Honda Accords are having issues with a battery senior then I am sure it's something in this 2014 that is killing my battery. The seat should not be deflating either and the brakes should not be barley stopping, when that is most important.
Takata recall:my car was hesitating when accelerating from a stop. I stopped and turned the car off only for about 5 minutes, I got back in, turned the car on and it wouldn't start. I was on a city st, so I walked to auto mechanic shop, got a jump, it started up after 5 to 10 minutes. The next day, the same thing happen. I called Honda, got someone to jump start the car, drove to Honda, left the car for 2 days. Honda called me stating that the battery was good, but the sensors were bad and needed to be replaced. They replaced the sensors, charged me $160. I picked up the car, drove it home, then 2 days later, the car died out again. I called Honda again, they told me to bring the car in. I got the car jumped in order to take it back to Honda. This time, I left the car there for 3 days. They told me this time that the battery was bad and wanted me to pay for a battery. I refused to pay for a battery, sent the manager an email in reference to the findings that they said was wrong with the vehicle because in the begining, they told me that it was nothing wrong with the battery and now I paid for the sensor and the car still cut off. Did I really need the sensors or was it the battery in the first place? they replaced the battery at no charge. .
So disappointed with the seat covers on my Honda Accord! this is the 4th Honda that I own and none have had such wear and tear as the 2014!!! even after 10 years of use on all of them, they were in better shape than the 2014 after 2 years of use.
This is a nightmare. Honda Accord 2014. Last night my windows and sunroof automatically opened; there have been other random electrical problems, see below. The opening of the windows occurred during a rain storm and my brand new Honda is filled with water. The dash is blank and the phob key radio searching light is not blinking; so there was a short that caused this to happen. I will never buy a Honda again. If you are having any of the problems listed below, pay attention to them because I kept thinking they were just random little issues but they were precursors to this very big issue. My car is totaled!!! pay attention to the small stuff and save your life and get rid of your car. My trunk randomly opened, parked and driving. My tire pressure light is always on, even after being reset and tires checked. I'd get in my car and find the sunroof partially opened over night. There is a weird rattle in my car in the front area, sounds like its in the dash board, but could never isolate it.
Drivers seat adjuster switch mounting panel has broke off twice. Appears to be a poor design on mounting system (clips).
Sitting in the driver's seat causes muscle and nerve pain in the right leg and lower back pain after about 50 miles. The seat also affects the sciatic nerve. No matter the adjustments made on the seat, it does not stop. There are several complaints about this on the internet with the 2014 Accord.
The drivers seat is so uncomfortable its unsafe to drive. I bought the car 2 weeks ago and almost got into a couple of accidents on the highway while I was trying to re-adjust the pillow behind my back. Honda needs to fix the problem.
The drivers seat is defective. After driving a short distance I have experienced sciatic nerve pain down my leg, severe lower back pain and pelvic numbness. The design of the bottom and upright portion of the seat are not designed to support a driver correctly. After driving the car less than a thousand miles I am considering selling the vehicle and taking a loss. I love the Honda product but they should make captured terrorist drive this car instead of waterboarding.
Uncomfortable drivers seat, my legs and thigh get numb and go to sleep, my sciatic nerve gets agrivated and hurts, after driving for 1 hour, your legs are totally numb and then you can't walk for nearly 100 steps, these seats are dangerous and a health hazard.
Hello. I already posted my problem with head-rest for the pilot seat causing neck pain while driving as the head-rest always, regardless the how we set seat position, pushes the head forward in a c position causing the neck pain. I can't drive a car with this constant pain!. Today, I read about the complains for the 2013 and 2014 Honda Accord. The category with more complains for both years is the seat category! I can't believe that NHTSA has done nothing regarding this issue to resolve it. Would you please take into your considerations ours consumers' complains regarding not able to drive a car with this important issue? thank you.
Head-rest problem -> neck pain. After driving a few miles, I notice that no matter which position I selected the pilot's seat , my head is always pushed forward making a neck pain. I tried to adjusted the head-rest with the different positions I could make my neck feel better in all I still can't make neck pain go away every time I drive it. It's really painful my head is always leaning forward no matter how I adjust the head-rest. This is the same problem I had for Ford-f150 truck, the head rest are too big thus making always the head lean forward and causing me a next problem. In both vehicle, it's the same. I can't drive comfortable!!!! without starting to feel the neck pain right and feel my head is being pushed forward. Please have Honda and other manufactures review and add a head-rest adjustment feature to the head-rest so that we can push back the head-rest a little backwards to allow the neck/head rest comfortable.
The contact owns a 2014 Honda Accord. The contact stated that the steering wheel blocked his view of the speedometer and other gauges regardless of how the seat was positioned because of his short stature. The vehicle was taken to the dealer who stated that there was no failure. The manufacturer was contacted about the issue. The failure mileage was not available. Updated 03/21/lj updated 03/28/2014.
Got the car brand new from the dealership after a brief test drive. After the second time driving the car for a short trip, I began feeling severe pain in my neck/upper back area and felt the same discomfort every time I drove the car thereafter. The seat base is too deep not providing enough support to my spine and also the seat back is pushing my body forward causing me to round my neck and shoulders forward. In addition, my head cannot even make contact with the head rest unless I tilt the head back which is not a neutral position. I've tried multiple adjustments including buying expensive seat supports but nothing seems to help; the seat just seems to be poorly designed. I am at the point where I am willing to return/trade-in the vehicle for another at a loss because I do not want to sacrifice my health. Prior to this, I drove a 2000 Honda Accord and this issue never occurred. I hope you can investigate so Honda can take action to resolve.
