Older people have a high end hearing loss. Hence, the driver who has the signal on cannot hear it and it misleads on-coming and following vehicles. It should be changed to a low pitch which people with hearing loss will be able to hear. Yes I know there is a flashing light on the dash but it is not like the one one that vehicle has when you move out of your lane or do not slow down for a stopped vehicle. Those give a flashing light but also a loud sound. The high pitch turn signal sound is not only a safety hazard but it probably violates the disability act. There are many people complaining on the internet. I forgot the signal was on and almost was hit by an on-coming vehicle at an intersection who thought I was going to turn. .
