general problems of the 2017 Honda Accord

I too contacted Honda services and field a claim and was told that we would be responsible for the cost of the repairs to fix the sensor and replace the airbag.

The driver side air bag did not deploy, however, the passenger side air bag ceployed when we hit a deer at 70 mph! both air bags should have deployed since we hit the deer in the center of the car! my wife an I are very lucky to be alive! the insurance company inspected the car and considered it to be totaled. I received an indication on my dash that there was an issue with the srs system. I took the vehicle to a certified Honda dealership for diagnostic treatment and it was determined that the wires on the passenger seat had been rubbing on the track that the seat slides on and consequently tore the srs wires near the passenger seat belt causing a failure in the restraint system.

I have a 2017 Honda Accord, just a little over 5 years old and 73k miles. It has never been in a car accident and I bought it new from the dealer. Last month I started to have lights that showed my lane assist, adaptive cruise control, collision mitigation system, and road departure mitigation system were not functioning. I took my car to the dealer and was initially told that it was an srs unit failure. Later, they changed and said the srs unit is fine but the camera is damaged. Honda is considering this normal wear/tear and will not cover this repair even though the car has never been in an accident. The car will not pass inspection unless this is fixed. The airbags will not deploy until this is fixed and the car is therefore dangerous to drive. The camera is on back order and it will be at least a month before it can be repaired.

While attempting to avoid driving over the tire, the contact swerved and was struck by the vehicle on the driver’s side of the vehicle. The driver’s side seat air bag failed to deploy properly. The vehicle was not diagnosed nor repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 70,000.

My airbags didn't deploy at the time of frontal accident at approximately 30-40 mph. Accident happened on county street (glen mill rd montgomery county maryland) January 25th at 6:30 am. With the road being very dark, I didn't see a full size tree across the roadway from a severe storm the night before. I anticipated the airbag deploying on impact, however it seem like a minute or two before they deployed but never inflated ( niether the front or passanger side curtin) photos are on my phone and will send when I can download on this site.

While the contact was proceeding through an intersection, another vehicle failed to yield the right of way and crashed into the driver's side of the contact's vehicle. The steering wheel air bag deployed and smoke entered the contact's vehicle. The contact lost consciousness and awoke to find that the seat belt did not properly restrain her, which resulted in injuries to the neck, head, and shoulders. Medical attention was received. The vehicle was towed. A police report was filed. The dealer and manufacturer were not notified. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The approximate failure mileage was 12,000.

Then manual states the air bag will go off at under 65 lbs. My 85 lb. Grandson, weighed January 9, 2018, makes the air bag go off when he sits in the front passenger seat. The car is not running but stationery. The light off stays lite the whole time he is in the seat. I have gone on the internet and see that others have had the same experience. My dealer just tells me that the grandson should sit in the back seat. Can this be fixed to activate the air bag for the over 65 lb. Limit?.

Takata recall I recently had a car accident on 11/29/17 where the air bags deployed and I cut my face and had 6 stitches and my mother broke her arm and has a cast and might need surgery. I just leased the car 2 months ago.

I bought 2017 Honda Accord and within a day there were 2 air bag signs came up. Called dealership and they said whenever you come this side bring the car. They checked the car that weekend and found a faulty srs module. They replaced it, but how a new car have a faulty srs module? how quality control dept. Stamped it without checking it? what if something would have happened to me?.
