1 Exterior Lighting problem

Failure Date: 12/01/2024

1) the bottom portion of the drl led strip in the driver's side headlight is no longer working. I can send pictures upon request. 2) there is an NHTSA service bulletin (19-042) for 2017 Honda Accord hybrids (all trim levels), but Honda says my VIN isn't included in this bulletin. Even though my 2017 Accord hybrid has the same failure as the vehicles included in bulletin. A Honda representative told me to report my issue to the NHTSA and ask that my VIN be included in this bulletin. 3) I have not taken the vehicle in for inspection because I found that this is a known, common issue for my car make, model, and year.

2 Exterior Lighting problem

Failure Date: 10/09/2024

The headlight assembly drl (daytime running lights) leds are burnt out and have melted due to daytime lights running too hot. These are a complete sealed assembly and need to be replaced as a unit due to mechanical failure from manufacture defect.

6 Exterior Lighting problem

Failure Date: 08/10/2021

There is currently a recall for 2016 to 2017 Honda led lights going out. My led light has gone out and I am being told my VIN is not on the list. How is it determined which cars fall under the recall if my car is having the same issue. My car was manufactured with 2016 parts or what ever parts that affect the recall. I was told by Honda corp to pay for diagnostic which I don't think is fair.

7 Exterior Lighting problem

Failure Date: 08/09/2021

If the car sits idle for more than 4 days, the battery dies. The car has 60,000 miles and we are replaced the battery once and it continues to die if it sits for more than 4 days. The car pulls to the right side regardless of how many times I have it balanced. The led day running light on the driver side front died when the car only had 50,000 miles on it.

8 Exterior Lighting problem

Failure Date: 09/30/2020

There is currently a recall (TSB 19-042) for 2016 to 2017 Honda Accord drl led's malfunctioning due to high voltage on the lower led strip. Both headlights have experienced this failure. I took the vehicle in for a 100,000 (end of certified warranty safety inspection) and when I picked up the vehicle, I was informed all the recalls that applied to my vehicle had been completed. When noted that this repair had not been done, I was told my vehicle VIN must not be "in range. " my understanding is that all 2017 Accord hybrid touring models were affected, so I'm not understanding that response. I'd like the units repaired as per the TSB.

9 Exterior Lighting problem

Failure Date: 11/19/2019

The daytime running lights in touring models which are sealed headlamp assemblies, partially fail prematurely. Not having proper drl or having units that fail with only 45,000 miles on the vehicle are a safety hazard.

10 Exterior Lighting problem

Failure Date: 10/27/2019

Many new cars are now equipped with daytime running lights. I have experienced many drivers including myself, who have started out driving at dusk and not realized that they are driving with the daytime running lights on only. The vehicles taillights are not operable with only the daytime running lights activated. I just recently approached a vehicle on a poorly lit roadway that did not have any tail lamps activated. This seems to be a built in danger with the new vehicles.

11 Exterior Lighting problem

Failure Date: 06/29/2019

Drl's problem, the daytime running lights on my 2017 Honda Accord touring are having problems. The left side works perfectly fine as the right side has completely stopped working.

12 Exterior Lighting problem

Failure Date: 04/04/2019

At 48k mile, driver side led daytime running light failed.

13 Exterior Lighting problem

Failure Date: 03/28/2019

Passenger side day time running light stopped working approx 50k miles went to bigisland Honda the parts department representative quoted me $2k $1500 for the light and $500 to install than soon after idler tensioner started making a weird grinding noise went online to research these 2 problems and both are very common problems with these model Honda Accords other than these problems this is a great car but I don't know if I'll ever buy a Honda Accord again basically left stranded with no help from the bigisland Honda the dealership I bought it from. They basically told me I'm sorry it's way out of the warranty mileage and there's nothing they can do. I googled to see how much people has the same issue it's literally thousands of people with Honda Accords. Honda should step up there game or there going to loose a lot of customers over the next upcoming years. Honda of America please put a recall and fix these issues before it turns into a epidemic thanks.

14 Exterior Lighting problem

Failure Date: 11/01/2018

The led daytime running light (drl) strip is out on my drivers side after only 9 months. I have read about 8 other complaints and spoken with other Accord owners with the same issue. It is absurdly expensive to replace considering it is all one assembly. I am a police officer and having issues with the drl in that short of a time, a component that is extremely important to safety, is a sign of poor crafting/manufacturing.

15 Exterior Lighting problem

Failure Date: 09/20/2017

The daytime running light led bar went out on my drivers side around 30k miles, now the passenger side has gone out around 35k miles. The drivers side was replaced under warranty but have not gotten to take it in yet for the passenger side.
