2017 Honda Accord sunroof explodes as driving on major highway. Upon contacting Honda, there response was it was out of warranty. When I asked to speak to a supervisor they refused. I was travelling home from work when I thought random shots were being fired at my vehicle. I am thankful this loud explosion did not cause an accident. This is a major safety concern and one that Honda is ignoring.
Tl the contact owns a 2017 Honda Accord. While inspecting the vehicle, the contact noticed that the front bumper started to melt. The vehicle was taken to the dealer (dublin Honda, 6300 dublin blvd, dublin, CA 94568), but the failure could not be duplicated. The vehicle was repaired by an independent mechanic. The manufacturer was not notified. The failure mileage was 4,661.
