36 Engine And Engine Cooling problem

Failure Date: 12/24/2025

Fuel pump is bad causing the car not to start.

37 Engine And Engine Cooling problem

Failure Date: 12/22/2025

My 2018 Honda experienced a catastrophic engine failure (blown head gasket) at only 30,012 miles. A head gasket is not a wear item and should not fail at such low mileage. I previously reported related symptoms during dealer service visits in July 2024 and August 2025, including signs consistent with cooling or engine performance issues, prior to the complete failure. The vehicle has been properly maintained, has not been abused or modified, and shows no signs of neglect. Honda has denied goodwill assistance solely due to vehicle age, despite the extremely low mileage and premature nature of the failure. This appears to be a durability defect resulting in premature engine failure well below expected service life.

38 Engine And Engine Cooling problem

Failure Date: 12/22/2025

Full pump engine.

39 Engine And Engine Cooling problem

Failure Date: 12/21/2025

When I was accelerating the vehicle on 12/21/2025, a flashing check engine light came on, and the car started driving very roughly immediately, with an intense vibration. I noticed a lack of engine power, but the hybrid motor and battery kept me going for roughly 1 mile until they were depleted, after which I was unable to accelerate the vehicle. At that time, the car continued to decelerate, no matter how much I depressed the accelerator. I was able to safely pull over and turn the car off. I let it sit for one minute before turning it on again, at which point it behaved normally. I drove very cautiously to my destination, making sure to accelerate very gradually. This sudden lack of power put myself and others on the road at risk, as it was very sudden with no prior symptoms/warning lights, and I had no recourse besides pulling over as soon as possible. Over the next few days, I researched the problem online, and owners of Honda Accords from that generation (10th generation, model years 2018-2022) reported head gasket failure on all engines Honda offered the 10th generation Accord, including the 1. 5 turbo, 2. 0 turbo, and 2. 0 hybrid engines. This problem is also reported on a slew of other Honda vehicles from roughly that time period. I brought it to motor werks Honda in barrington, IL on 12/24/2025. After they completed their analysis, they determined it was a failed headgasket.

40 Engine And Engine Cooling problem

Failure Date: 12/16/2025

Head gasket blown at 75500 miles. This appears to be an issue with the 1. 5t engine in these cars, as reported several times and at issue in a class action lawsuit bissell v. Honda.

41 Engine And Engine Cooling problem

Failure Date: 12/14/2025

My fiance has a 2018 Honda Accord sport touring, this past Sunday he was giving me a ride and about 5 min of driving , after stopping for a red light , the light turned green he pushed the pedal and the car starting moving then all of a sudden warning lights were flashing , the engine light , remote not in car, oil light, air bag , low tire, etc. There was alot at the same time when the warning lights came on as he pushed the gas pedal the car stopped accelerating, and he said he had no power in the pedal ,there was heavy traffic, a car could of rear ended us but he was able to put his hazards on and coast around the corner before the car stopped. He shut the car off and back on and it drove like normal again. I was scared of course and just wanted to go home. When we got home he remembered he still had his fathers obd scanner tool so he plugged it in the car and it showed no error codes. So that was really strange. He went to the store down the street the next day, but other then that he drives his work van and I have my own car. I was reading newsbreak and seen that Honda recalled only hybrid and newer years and thought thats odd I should let someone know this happen to his 2018 Accord , because im sure it has to happen to others. We didnt take it in or call the police , but this clearly could of caused a crash had he not remained calm and put his flashers, everything happened so fast. Im sure he would let you inspect it, he works during the morning. I have no clue why it did that and neither does he. Thank you for your time.

42 Engine And Engine Cooling problem

Failure Date: 12/10/2025

I had a coolant link problem they couldn't find or fix even after taking it in over 4 times ,how I have a blown head gasket ,also different components in my ac keep going out have had to fix 3 times in the last 3 years, both these are know issues for this year Honda.

43 Engine And Engine Cooling problem

Failure Date: 12/08/2025

After vehicle got serviced an open recall for fuel pump, my car has been having issues. I know is related to the head gasket/fuel injections. My car has been great, monthly maintenance service up until I got that recall fixed. I now regret it getting repaired, but I had to, to be able to receive my dmv tags. I was driving about 45 mph and vehicle stopped accelerating will not speed over 20 mph and the check engine light turned on. Just got full transmission flush and oil change and this happened. I read many article online that this happens after this recall repair to the Accord 1. 5t ex2018.

44 Engine And Engine Cooling problem

Failure Date: 12/01/2025

My 2018 Honda Accord touring with a 1. 5l turbocharged engine began experiencing intermittent warning lights and error messages starting around 28,000 miles. I reported these issues to a Honda dealership on some visits however in most cases, the warnings were appearing and disappearing prior to my visit. However the error continued to appeared since then. At approximately 55,000 miles, multiple warning lights and error codes reappeared consistently. I took the vehicle to a Honda dealership for diagnosis and was informed that the issue may involve internal engine damage and that a full engine teardown would be required to determine the cause, at an estimated cost of approximately $2,000, before any actual repair could be identified. Seeking a second opinion, I took the vehicle to a different service location and completed a full tune-up at 63,000 including all standard maintenance expected at that mileage. Less than one week after the tune-up, the same warning lights and error codes returned. I took my car back to the same place where I had the tune-up completed and the same error codes appeared indicating the issue was not related to routine maintenance. I began to research online some common issues with my car, I became aware of a class action lawsuit (bissell v. American Honda motor CO. , inc. ) describing a known defect in Honda 1. 5l turbocharged engines where coolant leaks internally near the cylinder head, causing engine misfires, efficiency warnings, and internal engine damage. The symptoms described in the lawsuit closely match the ongoing issues with my vehicle. The repeated warning lights and potential for engine failure raise safety concerns. The issue has been reproducible and unresolved despite inspection and maintenance.

45 Engine And Engine Cooling problem

Failure Date: 12/01/2025

Emissions and engine light turned on which caused enginue to lose power and stall. Took car to dealership for diagnosis, and two codes related to failed fuel injectors and failed turbocharger. Tech said it is a known failure with this vehicle model, especially with the Honda turbo engine, so much so the warranty was increased from 100,000 miles to 150,000. Unfortunately my car was 15,000 miles over warranty and will be a costly bill. Online research yielded that tech was right, it is a known failure issue with this model but I missed the warranty extension. If this is a known issue by the manufacturer, should this not he a recall issue?.

46 Engine And Engine Cooling problem

Failure Date: 11/28/2025

My 2018 Honda Accord had coolant leaking in cylinder 3. Which caused the head gasket to blow. My car stopped on me in the middle of the hwy. I took my car to a shop down here to get fixed he couldn’t get it to run. All dashboard lights are on.

47 Engine And Engine Cooling problem

Failure Date: 11/26/2025

Head gasket caused by 1/4 inch head bolts and torqued to 50 lbs multiple people have filed a class action lawsuit regarding this and it’s affecting most Hondas with a 1. 5l engine. It caused misfiring and jerking it was inspected and confirmed by Honda service center that my head gasket was blown and I had purchased the car 12k miles ago.

48 Engine And Engine Cooling problem

Failure Date: 11/15/2025

Engine knock caused by oil dilution which is known manufacturing issues with my model of car.

49 Engine And Engine Cooling problem

Failure Date: 11/13/2025

I had to have the injectors replaced in April 2025. In November I was told a had a busted head gasket $5800. 00 to fix. Many Honda owners have had this problem. Honda customer services refuses to help.

50 Engine And Engine Cooling problem

Failure Date: 11/13/2025

I have a 2018 Honda Accord sport 1. 5 the issue started after getting my fuel pump replaced as part of the recall. While driving, all of the dashboard lights came on. Warning messages kept flashing on the dash. This car was driving perfectly fine before the fuel pump was replaced. When the codes are cleared, the car drives perfectly fine. The dashboard lights will periodically turn off but ultimately come back on and as a result, the car goes into limp mode. Coils, sparkplugs, breakers have been switched out and oil levels have been checked. When the car is scanned, the codes are reading a misfire with the coils but, the coils that are allegedly misfiring were just replaced. The car jerks while attempting to accelerate, and after a few miles, it goes into limp mode. I have tried every type of repair that has been suggested to me by the mechanic but the issues persist.

51 Engine And Engine Cooling problem

Failure Date: 11/12/2025

Defective turbocharged engine that is prone to overheating, head gasket failure and other problems. Design defect that causes engine coolant to leak into the cylinders.

52 Engine And Engine Cooling problem

Failure Date: 11/11/2025

Car has lost power or gone into "limp mode" while driving on multiple occasions. Car was never listed under the fuel pump recall but had all associated symptoms & problems. Had to have fuel pumps replaced in December 2023 due to car not starting because of faulty fuel pumps. Car has been properly maintenced since purchased brand new in February 2018. Currently around 121,000 miles. Car overheated this past summer, coolant seems to be leaking somewhere as just filled with coolant month ago and needed to refill with about quarter to refill to correct amount. Oil also seems to be having slow leakage problem somewhere within the engine as there is excessive oil on drip pan. Had all 4 spark plugs changed in March of 2025. Car has been going into limp mode and looses power for few seconds to minutes sometimes, almost causing multiple accidents while driving on highways. Pull over to shut off and give few minutes to restart and able to resume driving no warnings before this occurs. Randomly all dashboard lights light up 2 weeks ago and put car into limp mode, was driving on highway at high rate of speed (65mph) safety was compromised several times while this occurs. Engine seems create knocking sounds to known due to oil dilution problem. Cold weather seems to affect issues to onset more often. Also been having stalled or rough start ups in colder weather or when engine is not warmed up. Researching these issues seems to be that 2018 Honda Accords had known head gasket failure. This should become a class action lawsuit and also a recall.

53 Engine And Engine Cooling problem

Failure Date: 11/08/2025

Head gasket had to be changed out. I have seen multiple cars having the same issue with this model. The vehicle sputtered and would not let me drive above 40mph. It was a safety issue when I first had it and it occurred in the freeway.

54 Engine And Engine Cooling problem

Failure Date: 11/07/2025

While driving on the NJ garden state parkway on an incline, the car went into limp home mode in the middle of heavy traffic causing the speed to get dangeriousily very slow. I had to make my way across many lanes to get the edge of the road. After shutting off car I was able to restart and drive to work. My father came to my work and looked at car and added Honda antifreeze becuase it had seeped into combustion chambers then drove the our Honda dealer. Just before he got to dealer driveway the car missed and hesitated but was able to make it to dealer. Dealer determined it was the common problem with the 1. 5t engines, the head gasket failed. Check engine light never went on or any overheating (I was lucky) . While engine was apart, other work was agreed to as being cost-effective. The car prevousily had Honda car with 0 deductable until 100,000 miles. Car has always been serviced by dealer with more service than Honda requires and I have all service records from purchase to prove it. Last service before incident was 10/14/2025 . What makes this worse is that my son (2018 civic) and my brother (2020 Accord) also have Honda cars that are destined for the same failure based on what is known about the defective 1. 5t engines.

55 Engine And Engine Cooling problem

Failure Date: 11/05/2025

The problem I am having with my vehicle Honda Accord 2018 is with the head gasket. I was on the highway and as I was driving suddenly all the signs came on the display and gave a warning that my vehicle is overheating and it came down to 20mph while I was on the highway. This was very risky to me and the other vehicle around me.

56 Engine And Engine Cooling problem

Failure Date: 11/05/2025

Engine head gasket- the engine sucked the water from the radiator. Car overheat in highway and I had to wait for help to open the radiator to fill it with water an independent service center yet- I will take it to a dealer Wednesday the 12th the dash lights came up and the next day the temp indicator was going up and down.

57 Engine And Engine Cooling problem

Failure Date: 11/03/2025

The problem I am having with my vehicle Honda Accord 2018 is with the head gasket. I was on the highway and as I was driving suddenly all the signs came on the display and gave a warning that my vehicle is overheating and it came down to 20mph while I was on the highway. This was very risky to me and the other vehicle around me. Then when I took it to the dealership to diagnose they said it is a head gasket failure. The repairs they have recommended are very expensive and after researching this problem it shows this is a very common problem Honda vehicles are having. This is a manufacture problem which they should have a recall on hence with such expensive repair and I only have 93k miles on my vehicle. I always thought Hondas were the best vehicle going long term and as I am first time owner and this being my first vehical brand new I am very disappointed with the problem I have been facing with my vehicle.

58 Engine And Engine Cooling problem

Failure Date: 11/03/2025

I was driving the car and it stopped working the car was just rolling, it lost speed in the road! all the warning lights were displaying, including the engine light. I took this car in to have a dynastic test at the Honda dealership. They reported it was the head gaskets. I’m very disappointed and don’t have the extra money for experience repairs.

59 Engine And Engine Cooling problem

Failure Date: 10/31/2025

My vehicle is losing power while traveling on the road. All of the system lights are flashing and the gas mileage is ridiculous. It sputters uncontrollably and just stalls out and drops speed really quick. I’m really concerned for my well being. I’ve spent so much money trying to fix these issues and I don’t think it’s fair to me or any other Honda owner to have to be held responsible for something that is clearly a manufacturing issue. Although there was not a crash during this incident, it’s very dangerous and I’m terrified to drive my car but I have no other transportation right now.

60 Engine And Engine Cooling problem

Failure Date: 10/28/2025

I took my 2018 Honda Accord into the dealership to get the fuel pump recall fixed, which took a year to get scheduled. I got that fixed in August, prior to getting the replacement I hadn’t had any issues with the car. About a week ago my car started sputtering and bucking while I was driving it. It felt like it wasn’t getting any fuel. The car left me sit on the highway, threw an engine misfiring code and almost caused an accident because it wouldn’t accelerate, and there were angry drivers behind me. I called the dealership, managed to get it there and they are now telling me I have a bad head gasket, which they want $5000 to replace. I had no prior issues and there initial inspection of the car after changing the fuel pump recall, had nothing about any issues with my coolant or gaskets. Is this a recurring problem with the 2018 Honda Accords 2. 0t. Since this was the first year this engine was made.

61 Engine And Engine Cooling problem

Failure Date: 10/26/2025

2018 Honda Accord sport, 1. 5 l motor, 60k miles. Loss of power under throttle. Bad head gasket. Diagnosed by dealership.

62 Engine And Engine Cooling problem

Failure Date: 10/23/2025

Lost coolant and engine over heated. Inspected by shop and determined that the coolant is leaking into the engine due to head gasket issue. This could cause extreme engineer overheating and cause fire in engine. Based on available information from other owners of the Accord 1. 5t 2018, this is common issue.

63 Engine And Engine Cooling problem

Failure Date: 10/22/2025

The contact owns a 2018 Honda Accord. The contact stated while driving approximately 50-55 mph, the vehicle was jerking before shutting off. The accelerator pedal was depressed, but the vehicle failed to respond. The contact was able to move over safely. The vehicle was restarted and continued to drive. The abs, steering, battery, engine, and lane departure warning lights were flashing. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer for NHTSA campaign number: 23v858000 (fuel system, gasoline). The vehicle was repaired, but the failure reoccurred. The vehicle was taken to another local dealer, shelor motor mile (270 jarrett dr se, christiansburg, va 24073), who confirmed that the fuel pump had not been serviced. The manufacturer was not contacted. The failure mileage was approximately 101,000. The VIN was not available.

64 Engine And Engine Cooling problem

Failure Date: 10/17/2025

The head gasket of my 2018 Honda Accord, 1. 5l turbo engine blew, allowing coolant to leak and pool into cylinder 3 of the engine. The engine was inspected by a Honda dealership and confirmed the defect/failure. I don’t have the failed gasket, but do have images of the coolant running into the cylinder from the inspection. My family’s safety was put at risk as due to this failure the engine misfired and would no longer accelerate on two different instances. Once in a local 55 mph road where the car would get above 30 mph. The second was when my wife was driving in a 70 mph turnpike when the misfire happened. There were no warning lamps or indicators of the failure. The symptoms were duffle, which included worsening engine performance, gas mileage, rough idling, and jerking while driving due to poor combustion in the bad cylinder. They first appeared around 87,000 - 88,000 miles (within this last year - 2025).

65 Engine And Engine Cooling problem

Failure Date: 10/13/2025

I have changed turbo, coil packs, fuel injectors, spark plugs, battery, fuel pump and my vehicle still give misfire in cylinder 3. Honda knows it’s a turbo and head gasket issue and will not do a recall on this for the vehicles. Horrible company. Will never buy another Honda.

66 Engine And Engine Cooling problem

Failure Date: 10/11/2025

Head gasket for the second time.

67 Engine And Engine Cooling problem

Failure Date: 10/10/2025

All my warning lights keep coming on in dashboard and my car isn’t accelerating in cold weather after sitting overnight.

68 Engine And Engine Cooling problem

Failure Date: 10/10/2025

Head gasket problem. Coolant leaking into cylinder #2, head gasket needs replacing. The car is currently at a Honda dealership & they inspected/ confirmed that this was the issue. They expressed this was a common issue with this car. The first signs of issues happened while driving uphill on the freeway, the car started to “jump” when trying to accelerate. A couple of minutes later, the car would not accelerate while driving & the check engine light turned on. The second time, this happened much quicker. In a span of a couple of seconds, the car “jumped” while driving on the freeway again, and slowed down and would not accelerate, but various lights on the dash turned on this time. This is obviously very dangerous as a car suddenly decelerating while driving can cause the driver and others on the road to crash. There were no warning lights on prior to the first incident.

69 Engine And Engine Cooling problem

Failure Date: 10/03/2025

While driving, my 2018 Honda Accord suddenly lost power and went into limp mode with no prior overheating or warning signs. The acceleration dropped instantly, and the vehicle nearly caused an accident as it seized up in traffic. Diagnostic scan showed a p0303 cylinder 3 misfire, which is consistent with head gasket failure. The issue has been widely reported among other Honda Accord owners with the same engine, and it appears to be a recurring defect. This failure is dangerous because the car can lose power abruptly at highway speeds or during normal driving, putting drivers and passengers at risk of collisions. The vehicle was properly maintained and had no prior indication of internal damage or overheating. The head gasket failure is sudden and mechanical, not caused by user neglect. It needs to be investigated as a manufacturer defect before it leads to serious accidents or injuries.

70 Engine And Engine Cooling problem

Failure Date: 10/02/2025

I had to have $6400. 00 worth of repairs (2018 Honda Accord sport ) due to stalling & engine light came on and then it wouldn't go-due to the head gasket not being recalled and since they had the engine out, I also had to have other repairs they said were necessary plus car rental on top of that. . . I had only made my 2 car pymts when this happened!.
