I owned a 2018 Honda Accord,I got it new from the dealership so im the only owner of this vehicle. My headlights keep building condensations prematurely causing them to fail . I have already replaced multple headlights because of this . Also when the bulbs go out Honda made it where the bulbs can not be replaced at all. These headlights cost close to $1000 each plus 500 in labor to installed. Theres should be a recall for this as its costing me soo much money . I hoping we must hold accountability to its highest level so consumer dont have suffer like this. Thank you so much for reading!.
All lights on dash are on at the same time.
The contact owns a 2018 Honda Accord. The contact stated that after the vehicle was repaired under an unknown recall repair, the contact stated that while attempting to depress the brake pedal, several unknown warning lights illuminated. The contact stated that whenever the warning lights were illuminated and the brake pedal was depressed, the rear brake lights failed to illuminate as designed. The contact stated that while the lights were turned off and the brake pedal was depressed, the headlights erroneously illuminated. The vehicle was not taken to be diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 46,000.
The issue has been observed repeatedly and confirmed by my service center during each replacement. It has occurred in different environments and driving conditions, and despite repairs, the problem persists. Honda refuses to replace headlamps after multiple faliures the vehicle has been inspected multiple times by my service center, but the manufacturer has not directly inspected it. No police or insurance representatives have been involved in the inspections. Each time the repair is made “all looks normal” the problem is preceded by a warning light on the dashboard indicating a headlight malfunction. Shortly after, the headlight fails, and then the turn signal malfunctions. The first instance of this problem occurred around 28,000 milesand it has recurred multiple times since then.
Water/ mist leaking into head lights and tail lights after a car wash. Front driver side headlight was not working and had to replace. Until replacing the part it might impact other turn signaling. Fyi: have to replace whole unit as its led and cannot just change bulb/ led strip. There was a crash happened to the driver side more than an year and was into car wash's (or) car was in the rain with no impacts more than an year,. Replacing with Honda dealer costs around $700 for a headlight on each side.
My car is always hesitating to go , sometimes it will slow considerably down and won’t go , and my engine lights pops on and starts flashing. I have to turn my car off and turn it back on. That’s very dangerous ive almost been hit like that and I have two kids!!!!!.

The left front headlight assembly failed this includes the low beam headlight and turn signal and parking lights. Subsequently the turn signal and emergency flasher for the entire car failed. After having the assembly replaced the mechanic found that the turn signal flasher problem wass related to a blown fuse. The headlight assembly failure was diagnosed as being caused by water in the light assembly. In addition it was noted that the right front assembly was contaminated by water and will probably fail in the future.
The low beam lights abruptly stopped working without warning. The high beams, fog lights and interior lights work fine but I had to use my bright lights to get home which visually impaired oncoming traffic & myself because they flashed me with their bright lights. I called the dealership, and they said what happened was highly unusual and that led lights don't go out. Following this my system lights started to come on for the tire pressure and the brakes. They are still on and my tires work fine and brakes are working fine.
After a service visit on may 27, 2023, at my local Honda dealership, I noticed condensation buildup in the front driver’s led headlight. The car has never been in an accident, and there was no evidence of a strike from road debris. I initially suspected this moisture could be related to humidity, but it never evaporated and remained a problem. I troubleshooted other possible causes but eventually brought it back to the dealer for a more thorough investigation. The dealership determined that the headlamp was cracked/defective and worked with Honda to replace it. Just before the repair, the driver safety system generated multiple warnings about the lighting system and the turn signals failed to work. Once at the dealer, a blown fuse was discovered. It was presumably blown by the defective headlight and replaced. On October 30, 2023, I discovered new cracks in the front passenger led headlight. Some condensation was also present. As before, the car has not been in an accident and there is no evidence of a strike from road debris. The pattern is strikingly similar to what transpired with the driver’s front headlight. In conclusion, I believe my headlight problems are caused by a manufacturing defect on some 2018 Honda Accord models. My experience with driver system alarms and inoperable turn signals due to a subsequently blown fuse demonstrate that defective headlights can create a serious safety hazard. I respectfully request your assistance with this situation and welcome the opportunity to find an agreeable solution.
Daytime running light(drl) passenger side color yellow burnout. I called Honda dealership they told me it will be out of pocket. My vechile was 63k mileage. One of my friends have the same issue I have.
My car was purchased new in December 2018. It now has 119,231 miles on it. My problem is that my headlight warning lamps go on the minute I start my car, because moisture has somehow gotten into both headlight assemblies, which causes my headlights to stop working intermittently. I took my car to keeler Honda in latham new york to get it fixed, and they gave me a quote to replace two headlights in the amount of $3174. 23. My car has never been hit nor has it ever been in an accident. And now I need to replace two headlights and I can’t believe how much money it’s going to cost me. I believe I have defective headlights, and although my car may be out of warranty, I think this is a design issue, and the cost to replace two headlights is unreasonable. I have attached pictures of the right and left front headlights, a picture of my dashboard warning light that comes on when I start my car, and a copy of the estimate I received from keeler Honda in latham new york for $3174. 23. Just for the headlights alone, the cost is 2624. 04. Who has that kind of money to replace 2 headlights? I wonder if I’m the only one with this issue. This is a serious safety hazard when I’m on the road and my headlights turn off at night. What can I do? thank you, mark febbie.
Supplemental restraint system failure will pop up at random times maybe every other drive, then that code goes away. Just recently the acc and brake system flashes "problem see dealer" as well as the head unit/display turning off and then back on intermittently. Front interior lights will turn on then turn off, sometimes immediately, and this has all been in the last year they've compiled. Closer to when I got my car a couple of years ago, the cruise control would just turn off and the automatic braking would start to slow the vehicle down. I attribute this to the "emergency braking" feature that would stop me with nothing in front of me, so it has been disabled ever since. Unfortunately my car doesn't fall under the VIN registry for the software recall, and from the looks of the other complaints this seems to be common problem with this car. If these issues are present I'm not sure why Honda would be so reluctant to accept that the recall affected a larger number of vehicles than they had initially thought. May have to get in contact with Honda corporate.
Headlight lenses crazing inside lens surface, deminishing headlight brightness.
Most recently,I was dropping off a friend. With my car running and in park. The dash board lit up with many warnings lka, mitigation, the brake defective. (see dealer immediately) I could not drive the car. The next morning (Sunday) back to normal. L Monday morning I'm at the Honda dealer, counting two other electrical problemsthis makes the third time they have told me they can not find codes or replicate the problem come get it. I told them I was tired of driving a dangerous and unreliable car. I bought for 40000. Dec21,2017,it has223?? miles and g. M. Offered me21800. For car(without taxes).
For a while now, im noticing that the auto high beams on my 2018 Honda Accord ex-l 2. 0t car isnt working. I've tried reseting the display audio unit, I've tried disabling/re-enabling auto high beam feature by pulling the high beam stick on the steering column - none of this has fixed the issue. Basic obd2 (via bluetooth and android app) do no indicate any fault codes. Will be taking this into the dealership to have it checked out.
Leased 2018 Honda Accord in October, 25 miles later had checked engine light on,took it back to the dealer, emission hose wasn't attached properly. After 900 miles the wheel alignment went out ( I did not hit any pot holes) took it back to the dealer, According to the dealer one the rod wasn't set right, now it's January 2019 and have 4000 miles yesterday the car started to supporter and all the warning started flashing auto high beam, adaptive cruise control, collision mitigation, road departure mitigation. . . . All this sing said see your dealer. . Guess what I called the dealer first thing this morning. . Today is January 24 2019 still waiting to hear from the dealer all this technology is totally useless. . . I had 2002 Honda Accord with 310,000 miles and no technology.
After taking delivery of my Accord on Dec 7, 2018 I noticed that the interior lights weren't on even though the driver door was open. I thought someone had just turned the switch off. After arriving home I made sure the door switch was in the "door" position and the rear light switch was in the middle. The overhead light, rear lights still would not come on after opening the door. There was also no vanity mirror or trunk lights. A few days later the overhead lights began coming on by themselves and fade out after 15 seconds. It did it while the doors were open or closed and sometimes while starting the car. I took it to the dealership on Dec 13 and the technician discovered that the lights were on some kind of timer. Really? it applied power to the lights at a set interval. For a few minutes after the interval the lights worked perfectly, then shut off and would not work again until the next interval. The dealership ordered a new lighting module. The module was installed on Dec 20 and the lights did the same thing. The problem is not the battery, wiring, fuses, bulbs, or light module. No one knows what's controlling the timing. The lights shouldn't be on any timer. The engineers at american Honda were stumped. I now have to bring it back next week so the technicians at the dealership can talk with the engineers in japan that designed the car. On the surface this seems like a simple problem but in actuality it's incredibly complex. Like having to replace the entire electrical system or computer. There are 2 more times to fix this issue before it can be called a lemon. Other than the odd lighting problem my car has performed perfectly.
