Defective fuel pump from fuel pump recall led to faulty fuel pump injectors, which led to all warning lights to come on at the same time. Honda is refusing to take responsibility of faulty parts that put the consumer at unnecessary risk of injury.
I purchased my Honda Accord sport last month and had no issues 5,000 miles on it. But as I've been driving it the brakes are not operating as they should way too sensitive and is not a smooth process as it should be the slightest pressure makes it jolt forward. On idle my rpms start to lower then go up I don't believe this should be happening. I don't know if it's a vacuum leak, fuel pump or spark plugs but there is an issue.
I noticed on a cold starts my car would misfire for a second then go away once warming up , my fuel pump relay also went out leaving me stranded at 2am because the car would not start just kept rolling over. . Had to leave the car and went to get a engine control/fuel pump relay the next day and the car turned on once I put that in. With this happening I know something is going on with the fuel pump and I've put premium gas in the car since I bought it brand new . I went online to read up on it and found out there was a recall for 2018-2019 model Accords , so I went to the dealer thinking yes they can fix it but when they searched my VIN the only thing that came up was the bcm update. But knowing there is a recall for the exact problem I'm having and I can't get it fixed until I save up a little bit . Is there a way this recall can be done to my vehicle. This is the only way I can successfully get to school and work.
Shortly after starting the car, car shudders when accellerating over 40 mph. Do not matter which mode it is in. All lead to engine shuddering and the flashing check engine light. When not engaged in eco mode, I received a notice say canceling econ mode when the mode was not egaged, the typical process is start car and within a few minutes, accelerate above 40 mph and within seconds get a blinking check engine light, a shuddering engine that is slowing down below 60 mpg and getting more violent, this began after picking up the car from having routine maintenance performed. I know there is out for the general 2019 Accord model, just not my model, but the fuel pump issue sounds very similar to what I am experiencing with my Honda Accord. The "solution" so far is pull over and turn the vehicle over and restart it and hope for the before, but it only gives a temporary fix.
07/06/20 was involved in an accident due to the plastic gas pedal snapping off and becoming lodged behind the brake pedal preventing adequate stopping that resulted in me rear ending another vehicle. Max speed reached on the freeway before collision was 65 mph. Trying to brake was not smooth and I had to press down extremely hard in order for the braking system to respond and still ended up colliding with the other vehicle at a higher rate of speed than there should have been when paying attention to surrounding traffic, even with a car length distance infront of me at the start of breaking. It is typical of the braking system to engage when "detecting" close proximity to another object or vehicle but, on many occasions there was no one there; however, in the case of todays accident collision mitigation was not responsive. Tire rotation performed at Honda on 6/29/20 with reports that brake lines, fluids, and pads were up to par however this is most certainly not the case. There is currently a recall that has not made its way to consumers for the fuel pump in this car that took me so digging to find. Initiated 5,28,2020 but, will not go in effect until 7,22,2020. I could have lost my life today! such a scary situation to be in.
