The contact owns a 2019 Honda Accord. The contact stated while driving 65 mph, the contact heard a sound like a gunshot coming from the sunroof before the sunroof shattered into tiny pieces. The contact managed to drive the vehicle home and contacted the manufacturer and was instructed to take the vehicle to a dealer for inspection. The vehicle was taken the dealer where she was informed that a rock had struck the sunroof, causing the sunroof to shatter. The contact was shown the point of impact. The contact contended the report and stated that there was no debris on the roadway that should have caused the sunroof glass to shatter. The contact was given a case number. The vehicle was not repaired and remained in the possession of the dealer. The failure mileage was approximately 21,000.
