I took my car in because the electric parking brake warning appeared while driving. I also looked it up and saw many others were having this issue. So basically Honda charged me for something that’s an ongoing Honda issue and passed it off as a glitch and cleared the codes. Clearly Honda needs to recall the 2023 Accord because this isn’t safe and clearing the code isn’t taking care of the problem. Furthermore charging me for diagnosing this is completely wrong knowing this is not a problem only I am having. Honda needs a recall before there are serious accidents.
Ota system keeps failing and needed to go to dealer every other week. The radio freezes and glitches. Yes I’ve been to dealer 3 times in the last 6 months about this issues.

My vehicle has an open safety recall 25v785 related to improper software programming of the integrated control module cpu, which can cause loss of drive power while driving. I brought the vehicle to an authorized tempe Honda dealer (8030 south autoplex loop, tempe, az 85284) to have the recall completed. The dealer confirmed the recall is a software icm update, but refused to perform the recall unless I paid approximately $981 plus tax to replace the original oem audio head unit. The dealer stated that over-the-air infotainment updates were previously declined and claimed this prevents completion of the safety recall. The recall was not completed. The vehicle remains unrepaired for a known safety defect that can result in loss of drive power while in operation. Dealer refusal was documented in writing.
This is a second formal supplemental complaint. Vann york Honda sold this car as new, but a Honda America provided carfax proved it was a prior personal use vehicle. The car has catastrophic phantom braking, causing a physical friction rash on my skin. Multiple witnesses are now afraid to ride in the car. The vehicle has suspension failures documented by irregular tire readings. Despite an active federal recall, flow Honda refused mandated repairs. During a prior headliner repair, flow Honda returned the car with a collapsed headliner and a maintenance minder a127 code. The oil life dropped from 45% to 5% without added mileage, yet I was told to drive it. Weatherstripping has been replaced. Recall work for seatbelt (which came apart) and fire risk in the engine. Started the car and the system was not booting up properly. Had to restart the car a few times for the system to boot up properly. Took 3 min to start up after restarting the car. No error codes just major lag and delay. Car was updated to the most current update and no new updates were available at the moment. Bluetooth also has a hard time connecting to mobile devices. Engine makes weird sound when accelerating on the highway in eco mode. Sometimes feels like misfires when accelerating. When entering the car from outside the seat sometimes does not adjust back to the original position stays at the extended position it does when getting out of the car. Requires me to adjust my seat consistently.
The infotainment system, audio, and warnings about parking collisions and lane keep assist are glitchy. The audio skips and stutters making hands free impossible. It makes commuting dangerous. Honda corp and the dealership are saying there is no recall and nothing they can do with no eta on a fix. They attempted a ota and manual software update but could not complete it. They said it is a known issue.
Summary of incident: for approximately two years, my vehicle has experienced random electrical issues. All dashboard warning lights will flash at random times. When I take the vehicle to the dealership (bell Honda), the problem disappears before it can be diagnosed. On September 27, 2025, and again on September 28, 2025, the vehicle completely stopped and shut off while I was driving. It would not restart. The hazard lights were stuck on and could not be turned off. This left me stranded and in a dangerous situation. After approximately 2-3 minutes, the vehicle was able to restart, but numerous warning lights remained illuminated on the dashboard. I had the vehicle tested with a diagnostic tool at an autozone, but no apparent issues were found in the system. Additional information: this is an ongoing and unresolved safety issue that Honda has failed to address. This electrical problem, which causes the vehicle to shut down unexpectedly, is a significant safety hazard. This issue is in addition to another ongoing problem with the remote start system, which Honda has refused to diagnose and fix. Consequences and concerns: the unexpected shutdown of the vehicle while in operation is extremely dangerous and could lead to a serious accident. The inability to use hazard lights properly further increases the risk to myself and other drivers. The intermittent nature of the problem makes it difficult to diagnose, but the consistent occurrence poses a serious risk that requires immediate investigation by Honda and the NHTSA.

Vehicle power loss and system malfunctions I am writing to formally express my concern regarding a recurring and potentially dangerous issue with my vehicle, 2023 Honda Accord hybrid. Twice while driving, the vehicle suddenly shut down on the freeway and completely lost power. In both cases, I was fortunately able to steer the car to the shoulder of the road, but this posed a serious safety risk. During these incidents, multiple system error messages appeared on the dashboard, including alerts related to braking, lane departure, and other critical functions. Alarmingly, this same issue has also occurred while the vehicle was parked in my garage. Each time, the only way to temporarily resolve the issue has been to shut off the vehicle and restart it. Lost all power and the warning light came on concerning brake system failure. The 12" infotainment screen flickers and turns off. The screen is most unresponsive. The screen never works with the headlights on. The screen flashes at night causing safety issues. Recurring issue where car loses all power to the powertrain, brakes, etc. While driving. Electrical systems inside the car and lights still functions, but complete loss of system to accelerate or keep the car going. After incident, computerized dashboard scrolls through multiple errors and then repeats (I have video). When I turn the car to the off position and then restart, only a single error for the braking system shows on the dash/computer system. If I turn it off again, and then back on, all errors are gone and the car drives "normally. " dealership could not repeat the issue and said computer system did not show any errors, even when I showed them pictures of the errors. First occurrence was 3/6/2024 on freeway during rush hour traffic, ~55mph. Car had 8010 miles on it. Second occurrence was 1/15/2025 on side highway where speed limit was 55mph; I was traveling about 40mph. The yellow brake system light illuminates on my dash. . I took my car to the dealership immediately after the brake system notification illuminated and the dealer said they don't know how or why. I have a photo of the illuminated yellow light. My electronic brake doesn't engage correctly when my car is parked I have video of the electronic brake operating incorrectly. Driving on town road up a hill at about 30 mph when I got a brake system warning and the engine shut off and accelerator did not work. I was able glide to the side of the road (steering worked). I turned the car off and on and was able to continue driving to my destination but the same error message was present along with several others (eg tpms, lane assist, collision mitigation). Tried to start vehicle, would not start or go into drive. All warning lights on dash. Got out of the car and locked and got back in, same thing happened. Walked away and left it for a while and got back in and it started. But brake system like stayed on, then after restarting car once more light went away.

Driving out of parking lot at 15 mph, loss of power, unable to accelerate, message warning on dash stating brake problem. Message states reduced braking issue, see dealer. Another vehicle behind me slammed on his brakes but ended up bumping my back bumper (no visible damage). Thankfully the driver was alert and was able to slam on his brakes to avoid a disaster on highway 270 (near washington, DC). I was able to restart the vehicle after a few minutes, the warning lights remained on, and I was able to drive 8 miles to the dealership. According to the work order: "the technician pulled multiple codes, followed the diagnostic tree, cleared codes. " I do not feel safe driving this vehicle and have seen other complaints regarding the same issue on a Honda website. Please research and assist as best you can.
Twice while driving this vehicle, a large number of warning lights activated simultaneously, and I lost the ability to accelerate the vehicle. Essentially, every adas warning triggered at once during these incidents, causing me to lose acceleration and creating a dangerous situation. The first incident occurred on the highway during heavy traffic. The sudden activation of all adas warnings was alarming and highly distracting. Fortunately, I managed to pull over safely. After shutting the vehicle off and restarting it, most warnings disappeared, but a few related to the brakes remained, which was very concerning. Despite being able to drive afterward, I was worried about brake safety. Later, when I started the car again, no adas faults were present. The second incident happened as I was leaving my apartment complex, forcing me to stop in the middle of the road due to the same issue. After the first highway incident, I took the car to Honda, as it was still under warranty. They inspected it but dismissed the problem, stating all they saw on the code reader were “junk codes” and that nothing was wrong. I plan to return to Honda after the second incident, but I fear they will give the same explanation. Online research reveals that many others have experienced almost identical issues. This is an extremely dangerous flaw in the system that requires immediate investigation and a recall before someone gets seriously hurt.
On three separate occasions (the most recent of which was on Saturday), my vehicle’s dashboard lit up with various alerts, including “brake system problem”, “tpms problems”, and “vehicle stability assist system problems”. At the same time, the vehicle’s accelerator completely stopped working. The issue would only resolve itself (and the alerts would go away) after I pulled over and restarted the vehicle twice. This issue happened on Saturday (on a highway), in March 2024 (driving out of a parking lot), and in February 2024 (on the highway). This is a safety issue because not being able to use the accelerator on the highway could potentially have lead to a serious crash. The dealers have been unable to replicate the issue. I've brought in the vehicle to dealerships on three occasions and have been told that because the alert wasn't actively visible when I brought it in after the fact.
I was pulling out of a parking lot when suddenly the car reported a problem with the braking system along with a number of other warnings. I lost all acceleration as I entered an intersection. I power cycled the car a couple of times before it returned to normal, and I was able to continue driving.

I am a veteran. I contacted Honda customer service to escalate my situation. I have not yet received help from the winston-salem Honda dealer as of 9:00 a. M. On 10/18/24. I have complained to the department of justice's consumer protection division. I have sent documentation. I reached out on facebook. I was last contacted by dallas, even though mike's name is on my last paperwork. This is suspicious. My rubber on my door has been replaced. My seatbelt was missing a bolt. Tires with regular, correct maintenance from the dealer should last 30,000 miles. Because Honda of winston-salem did not follow the schedule, after bringing my car to them many times, I have to replace my four tires at under 22,000 miles. I have lost 30% of my tires' lifespan unnecessarily due to a lack of regular balancing and rotation, despite multiple visits to Honda of winston-salem. My last recall letter arrived over 60 days ago. My seatbelt, cvt transmission, and engine have recalls. My window tint has faded, my door is failing, my brakes have issues, there are electrical issues, and the ceiling is sagging. My Hondalink is incorrect. I asked for help with car features and I paid $3000 up front extended warranty, but they refused to assist. Power system failed. Vehicle will not start. Error message appears “power system failure. ” vehicle will only start after 10-15 minutes of repeated attempts to turn on. No battery issues or other mechanical failures are indicated. Incident has happened 2-3 times in a six month timeframe. If my vehicle won’t start, I am unable to get out of potentially dangerous situation (being held up at gunpoint, weather situation, medical emergency, bears, train, etc).

Traveling on the expressway at approximately 70mph the dashboard/instrument panel started lighting up with warnings regarding tires, braking, engine, etc, and the car/power started shutting down, could not accelerate, steering and braking became difficult, fortunately I was able to access an off ramp at which point the car was stopped with multiple cars and semis behind me. The emergency flasher did work which most likely saved us from being rear-ended. We turned the car off and then turned it back on twice and then it started up again.
I will be driving down the road and my vehicle will pop up with the brake message and slam by brakes. It does it randomly. It has put my safety in risk multiple times. It has done this on the interstate and thankfully there was no one behind me. I was going 80mph and it dropped me to 30mph in less then 5 seconds. The issue has not been reproduced since it does it randomly. The vehicle has been taken to the dealership many many times. There were no warning symptoms or anything. It just does it very randomly. I had an investigation open with Honda and all they said to do was take it back to the dealership. This car is an issue to public safety. I could very well be in front of someone one day who is not paying attention and there could be a very bad issue. There has been so many times these issues have occurred.
While driving the vehicle, it showed all the abs braking error and cycled through a few other errors and the car basically shut down. Car acceleration slows to a stop, and pressing the accelerator is useless. Had to cycle the power twice before all cleared and the car was drivable.
Twice this has happened to me. Yesterday, I was driving on a local road, around 45 to 50 mph. Suddenly, many warning lights came on (see photos) including that power steering was reduced, electric parking brake system issue, and tpms issue. The car felt heavy to drive, but I still had control. I pulled over and turned off the car. After a few minutes, I turned on the car, and the warnings were gone and it drove normally. The hybrid battery was well-charged, so I don't think this was the problem. The previous time was around 2 months ago. That time I had to turn the car off and on twice before the warnings went away. I had taken the car to the Honda mechanic, but they found nothing wrong.
This happened on 04/16/2024 at roughly 7:16 pm. I bought the new 2023 hybrid Accord ex-l in June 2023 and the car only had 12413 miles. I was driving in slidell, la along n. Military road towards abita spring. I was driving 45 mph with adaptive cruise control. Suddenly there were lots of warning lights on. I don't really remember clearly how many warning lights since I was shocked. But I think that the "check engine", "tire pressure", "road departure", "traction", and "brake" were on. It was like fire work and at the same time, the car was losing power and the power steering was becoming stiff. Luckily there were no cars behind me and I was right by the entrance of a subdivision. I was able to turn into the entrance of the subdivision and the car basically stopped by the stop sign, kind of like dead. I was blocking the road and had to restart to car. But luckily I was able to restart and then there was only one warning messages left, the brake (please see photo). It says " brake system problem, brake performance may be reduced. See your dealer". It was after 7 pm and I didn't think the repair department was open. So I took a photo and slowly drove to abita spring. After parked my car for maybe two hours and I then restarted the car, everything seems ok. No warning lights at all. So I drove back home. Was busy on 04/18 and 19 (Wednesday and Thursday), finally went to the dealer on Friday, 04/19/2024. There was no codes and the dealer cannot do anything even after showing the photo. Was told to pull over to the dealer and they need the code. It's been two weeks and the car seems fine. But if someone drives on highway, ~70 mph, this can be fatal. And Honda needs to address this!.
My 2023 car has 850 miles on it I was at a stop waiting for a train to pass when all warning dashboard lights came on. The brake would not work and the gas would not work. I turned the car off and restarted it and most lights went off except for the brake warning. I was able to turn around and take car to dealership. They said it was a faulty 12 volt battery and replaced it. I haven't had issues since but also haven't driven much. I have read of other Honda owners having the similar issue.
Car stalled while coming to a stop and wouldn’t accelerate. Dashboard lit up with multiple errors including battery, abs, engine, and traction control. Had to restart the car 3 time before being able to accelerate and pull off the road. All lights went off except brake light which stayed on and displayed error message “break system problem. Break performance may be reduced. See your dealer. ” vehicle available for inspection if requested.
While driving on highway, dashboard lights for brakes, check engine, and tpms all came on. Unable to accelerate vehicle and pulled over to side of highway. Shut off the vehicle then started it again. Light for brake system stayed on, other lights were off. Was able to reach destination. Upon return, no lights came on and vehicle was able to be driven home.
Summary: vehicle shutdown while my wife was driving 25 mph, lost all engine propulsion and brakes failed. Thankfully, she was driving in community/residential street and could pull over safely, rolling to a stop in a side lot. If she were at higher speeds or on a freeway, my wife and others could have been seriously injured. Details: alerts for the brakes system "brakes system problem. Brake performance may be reduced. See your dealer" and one involving tire pressure (cannot recall the exact message) came on at 35 mph. She then came to a stop at a stop sign normally about 30-60 seconds later, then proceeded to accelerate again, continuing on her short route. At 25 mph, the instrument cluster, all screens/electronics went black/off, propulsion stopped and brakes failed. She was able to steer the vehicle to a side lot as it rolled to a stop. After 20 minutes of attempts to restart the car, it finally restarted as if nothing happened. Further more, in between attempts to restart the car, the infotainment screen would randomly turn on, despite not having turned on the car at that time. Subsequently drove to dealer for inspection and awaiting response. Vehicle has had no other problems, only 5500 miles, just under 1 year old.
I was travelling across a bridge at 45-50 mph when suddenly, every single warning light came on and the engine shut off. I had to coast over the bridge and into a parking lot. I turned the car completely off and back on and the warning lights went away. The next day, I took the car to the dealership I purchased it from where they performed tests and concluded that rain caused my vehicle to shut off, this is not the first time they have encountered a similar issue, and there is nothing they can do about it. This is not an acceptable answer, as I cannot worry about mine and my family's safety in the car every time it rains. If there was another vehicle close to me when this happened, there would have been an accident. If this is a common issue, Honda needs to address this ASAP.
I was backing out of my driveway and put the car into drive I accelerated and applied firm brakes to slow the car down cause I forgot my brother. Brake system warning and tire pressure warning popped up and stayed. Turned the car on and off and it was still there. The next day everything was back to normal. Took it to the dealer and they said no codes were stored in the cars computer. Literally the next day a code popped up for the lane keep assist and disappeared 3 seconds later( this never happens usually). Took it to the dealer again but they said they can’t do anything if they can’t replicate the problem themselves. I’m suspecting an electrical issue.
While running car warning light came on and vehicle stalls. Car wont go faster than 10 to 15 mph. This happen 4 times withing 5 months of purchase. First time took it to dealer and they were unable to find any problems. One more call dealer and dealer rep. Said it probably was sensor or windshield camera but did not fix the problem. It happen again 2 times and took it to dealer and dealer said battery failed test and replace it. Same day after picking vehicle out of dealer it happen again. Purchase this vehicle as a relieable car for my daughter leaving to university and all it been is unsafe and unrealiable to her.
On 1/21 at about 12:20pm, the gas pedal on my 2023 Honda Accord hybrid stopped responding mid-drive with no warning while going uphill at 25mph. Had to stop in the road, put the car in park, then put it back in gear and the pedal worked again. After the pedal cut out, multiple alerts cycled on the dash, but only the gas pedal stopped working. This is the 3rd such incident since buying the car new on Apr (1) June 25 going downhill at roughly 30mph on a neighborhood road. I shut off the car and restarted, and the pedal worked again. (2) Nov 16 on the freeway going 60-65mph. Pulled over, shut off, restarted, and the pedal worked again. I brought the car to my dealer each time. They found “loss of communication codes” but could not replicate the issue. They still have my car as of now and told me via text that "your Accord is communicating codes that we do not have a repair for yet. " unfortunately, they have closed my case without making repairs because they "have not found any issues in the system". This puts me and any drivers around me in danger, especially on the freeway.
On 1/21/2024, the car’s accelerator stopped responding and the car slowed to a stop. This happened twice previously on 6/25/2023, and again on 11/16/2023. Each time, the Honda dealer found “loss of communication codes,” and I was told via text on 1/25/2024 that “your Accord is communicating codes that we don’t have a repair for yet. ” I filed a claim with american Honda on 1/31/2024 (case #13919840), and was told over the phone that nothing could be done to resolve the issue. Bernardi Honda gave me the vehicle back without any repairs. I still have the vehicle but I don’t drive it out of concern for my family’s safety.
I bought a 2023 Honda Accord sport hybrid June of 2023 two weeks after purchasing the vehicle it starting giving me issues such as the dash board and infotainment screen would freeze up and completely erase itself I took it to the dealership 2 times they told me that if it didn’t do it at the dealership there was nothing they could do so they sent me home with the car. A week later I notice the safety system lights were coming on and saying system not working see dealer service soon I took photos of it and showed it to them they once again told me if it did not duplicate it self there was nothing they could do. I took it to them for the 3rd time for the same issue with even more photos and a video and got the same response. The same day I was otw to work and the whole system shut it self down again and erased completely and the dash board froze up I took it to them again on the first week of January and got them same excuse. Then on January 16 I was otw to work traveling at 45-50 mph when the car completely cut off and locked the steering wheel up and said shift to p to restart engine then after restarting the battery and brake system stayed on for 2 day then I took it to them on January 18 and they told me they didn’t know what the issue was with the car but it could be wiring and the wiring harness. And when I asked them to replace the car because I no longer feel safe driving it they told me they don’t think they can replace the car.
This past December (2023) while driving my 2023 Honda Accord hybrid I experienced an issue where multiple warnings about the engine, the break system. . . Etc lit up on the dash along with a warning to contact a dealership. As the warning messages lit up the dash, the car lost all drive-power and slowly decelerated to a stop. I had not made it out of the parking lot of my apartment complex, and a power-cycle allowed me to return back to my parking space. The obvious safety concerns, especially if I was in traffic, are self-evident as a crash could occur. The sporadic, unexplainable, and unpredictability makes it 10x more concerning from a safety standpoint. I've had one checkup since, and I have an subsequent appointment to have this checked even further. I've found other testimonies online from customers who've had this or similar experiences with this same make/model/year. I felt it best to report this as it could be a larger issue than the manufacturer currently understands or is making public.
I was driving at 40mph and the vehicle was driving normally when it abruptly lost all power. There was no acceleration when the accelerator was pushed and I had to guide the vehicle to the side of the road. When the car stopped, a brake warning appeared and instructed me to see the dealer. I turned the car off and it would not restart for about 30 seconds. It finally restarted and I was able to drive the short distance home, however the brake warning remained on the dash. I just had the car towed to the dealer. The road conditions were clear and dry and I had no previous problems with the car. Brake warning: "brake system: brake system problem. Brake performance may be reduced. See your dealer. " thankfully I had not yet entered the highway where the car's rapid deceleration could have caused an accident at highway speeds and jeopardized the safety of those in my vehicle and others on the roadway. I read that there has been a very limited recall on Accord hybrids due to similar issues (NHTSA campaign id number: 23v588000) and I believe this issue should be further investigated to determine whether the problems are more widespread.
On 11/16/2023, my vehicle’s gas pedal and acceleration system completely stopped working mid-drive on an interstate highway without warning. The car coasted to a stop. After shutting off the car and restarting, the gas pedal worked again. This was the second time this occurred (the first was on 6/25/2023). I brought the car to my dealer, bernardi Honda in natick, as I had done before. They found “loss of communication codes,” and “updated the ecu management system” but since they couldn’t replicate the issue they didn’t know if that would resolve the issue. It did not. They gave me the car back. This would happen a third time on 1/21/2024 and I submitted a report about that, too. I believe my car should be included in recall campaign number 23v588000.
Good afternoon. I am contacting you because the dealer is not doing their job. For half a year of owning a car, we visited more services than we drove the car. The reasons for this: the steering wheel shook when driving this car from the very beginning, because the chassis was faulty. When braking, sounds and creaking are heard as if the car's chassis is shaking. The dealer said this is how it should be, but I know it shouldn't be this way. From the very beginning, the driver's front left wheel behaved incorrectly when driving at any time (the reason for this) was that the suspension system was not working properly. And all this is conveyed to me by the shaking steering wheel. The dealer says that's how it should be. (not true) lately all the lights on the dashboard have been giving errors, including the check engine light. While driving on the road, we almost had an accident because all the lights on the dashboard lit up and the car itself stopped right on the road where there were a lot of cars. And the children were sitting in the car. We almost had an accident. 5 minutes later the car started and we drove off. Over the past six months this has happened 10 times. Solve the problem or we will go to court. Thank you.
Accord lx dash says vehicle requires a software update. Car was taken to dealer. Dealer says they hooked car to a computer and says there is no software update available. Dash continues to say vehicle requires software update.
While driving at speeds between 3-70 mph, the vehicle will intermittently display multiple warning lamps along with having an immediate loss of motive power (go into limp mode). When this occurs, the car must be coasted over to the side of the road & restarted typically twice to clear all of the dash alerts. Having a car go into limp mode while driving on city streets, highways or interstates puts our family in danger as well as the safety of others on the road near us. This issue has reproduced itself over a dozen times for our family & the service department has not been able to reproduce/confirm when brought in for repair. The service team on the 1st service date found multiple codes for loss of communications. They cleared the codes, found no permanent codes, performed a hard reset on the system & sent the car home. The 2nd service call again showed multiple codes for loss of communications. They were not able to reproduce the issue & sent the car home. The 3rd service call displayed the same codes as before. They updated the icm software & sent the car home. The 4th service call displayed the same codes. The service team attempted to reproduce the issue by driving the vehicle for ~250 miles unsuccessfully & wanted to send the car home. We disagreed & they mentioned we should open a case with Honda which we did. Several days later Honda & the service team replaced the integrated control unit. It will take much time & many miles before we can be certain the icm replacement did or did not resolve the issue. The issue 1st occurred near 6,200 in mileage and roughly 4 months after purchase. The car now has over 27,000 miles. As far as warning lamps during an event, multiple pop up that are images/icons as well as text of issues you can scroll through. Battery lamp, vehicle stability assist reduced traction and handling, brake system problem brake performance may be reduced, electric power steering system problem steering assist reduced, etc.
When driving the car at 45 mph, warning lights came on for: (1)vehicle stability system problem. Reduced traction and handling. See your dealer. (2)electric power steering system problem. Steering assist reduced. See your dealer. (3)hill start assist problem. Vehicle my role upon brake release. See your dealer. (4)adaptive cruise control system problem. See your dealer. (5)brake system problem. Brake performance may be reduced. See your dealer. While these messages flashed, the car lost ability to accelerate, steer very well, and brake very well. The car came to a stop after it slowed and I slammed on the brakes as hard as I could. I placed in in park, turned it off, and then turned it back on. It drove normally for a few minutes and then another warning light came on for a few seconds. It disappeared and the car drove normally. The dealer said a code showed up but they couldn't replicate the issue. They ended up replacing the battery because they didn't want to give it back to me without a fix. About 4 weeks later, we were stopped on the highway and in park waiting for over an hour. As we sat there, the warning light came on that said, "electric parking brake system problem. Parking brake not available. See your dealer. " the dealer kept the car for 2 weeks, couldn't replicate the problem, and said there were no codes. They offered no fix. 2 weeks after that, the car flashed up a warning light while driving 5 mph in a parking lot. The warning light said that the "lane assist" was not operational and that I should contact the dealer. I couldn't take a pic of it because it only flashed up for 5-10 seconds. I'm taking the car in later today.
25aug2023 at 75 mph multiple vehicle systems failed simultaneously and car lost power. Numerous codes were displayed on the dash in succession. Vehicle's loss of power slowed it rather quickly. Messages that I recall being displayed as the car lost power: tpms; brake system, power steering, air bag; vehicle stability assist, etc. Small video clip was taken during the event; however, due to obvious safety issues related to trying to move the car safely to the shoulder of the road during morning rush hour traffic, the video is short. Soon after pulling onto the shoulder the vehicle began flashing all electrical items in the car and then there was complete loss of power including the hazard lights. (other videos were taken of the various flashing warnings and the vehicle's behavior as it finally went into complete failure. . . . However, I am unable to upload to this site. ) vehicle was towed to the nearest Honda dealer. Honda north, butler PA 16001 28aug2023 Honda dealer verified that the car logged multiple dtc codes for various systems modules but could not replicate the failure. Car was given a short road test and no issues presented themselves. Honda north requested to keep the car for one more day for further investigation and a longer test ride with more diagnostics. 29aug2023 Honda north performed a longer (@20 mi) road test and stated the vehicle performed without issue. They explained that they had nothing from Honda engineering to indicate any action to take related to such an event. They again acknowledged that multiple dtc codes were logged and all systems were operational while restating that there was nothing to do unless it happened again and a module failed completely.
Well, I don't really know what to do. . Last night the car was sitting in the garage on. And playing a seminar I was watching. On my phone. The keys were nowhere around the car, and the door was unlocked and the car was just sitting there on in the garage. We've only had the car five days, but this worries me. . It reminds me of christine. This is the first year of this body styles and I hope it never does anything weird like this on the freeway (cutting off) or parked in front of a store. Then again this morning the door was unlocked already and didn't beep to open.

On 5. 20. 23, performed required remote system update for 2023 Honda Accord ex (gas) with 3,410 miles on it. Hondalink app indicated update was requested while car dashboard indicated the update was installed and complete. Immediately thereafter, the check engine light went off (not blinking) and received following message: "emissions system problem. Power may be reduced. See your dealer. ". Habitual problem for Honda. I was forced to trade in a 2019 Accord hybrid due to emissions problems causing blinking check engine light with car computer not retaining error codes - see prior complaint to NHTSA - tracking #11521930.
The car will completely shut off while in drive and while driving. Not the auto shut off feature as that is off at the time the car shuts off. This has happened multiple times and isn't safe. There is no indication as to when it will happen, but it will randomly shut off after a short drive or long drive. Once I turn the car back on there is nothing that displays on the dashboard to indicate what happened or why or any issues the vehicle has. It's as if the car wasn't on and I'm turning it on for the first time. The car was leased in February and has been experiencing these issues since the beginning of the lease.
I have had 2 separate experiences with starting my car and the lights on the dashboard come on. A message comes on with rolling alerts that states the automatic emergency braking, steering assist, lane keeping assist, braking assist, hill hold, adaptive cruise control are all turned off. Additionally regenerative braking was also turned off. I took it to two different Honda dealerships for maintenance. (may 8th, July 20). If you wait 30 mins the alert will disappear. My most recent incidence occurred on sept 2, I was out grocery shopping and the alerts reappeared while in motion. I was very afraid bc I have never had it come on while in motion. From my second visit July 20th I took it to get looked at and they said that they could not re-create the issue. So both dealerships restored the factory settings. Now this is my third time dealing with this. I took it on July 20th to have them update the system bc it continues to alert when turned off that there is a system update. I had to take the care back twice bc the system update kept alerting. While reading other people's issues I see it is connected to getting the system updated. I have paid a lot of money for this car and it only had 39 miles on it. I see that someone else has had this problem in the past. I travel for work and this is certainly an inconvenience. I want to know how serious is this problem and has other people reported this. See NHTSA id number: 11533957 for reference. I will be putting my photos on this report to show how the dashboard lights up. In my first visit they thought it had something to do with the electricity or battery as they explained to me, but the problem keeps happening. For the cost of this vehicle someone needs to find out what the issue is and fast. I do not want to have to abandon this care for my safety.
I was driving the car on I four east toward orlando going towards disney world. Just bought the car two days ago and had 10 miles on it. It’s a Honda Accord hybrid sport, the engine start shaking smoking while I’m in the middle lane going 70 miles an hour the whole car shuts off and it has every single code known to man come up on Hondalink and I feel like a dealer is making me keep his car.
