Three problems related to brake electric antilock have been reported for the 1996 Honda Civic. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
When applying the abs brakes on dry pavement the pedal traveled to the floor, causing extended stopping distance which resulted in a vehicle collision. Consumer also states that the driver's/passenger's air bags did not deploy. Please give futher details.
Weather wet; driving; started turning into driveway; vehicle started to slide; had no brakes or steering control; hit parked vehicle; 2nd time going around curve 6/13/97, had same problem with same weather conditions; will be taking to dealer.
Antilock brakes locked up , causing accident.
