general problems of the 1996 Honda Civic

Two problems related to suspension have been reported for the 1996 Honda Civic. The most recently reported issues are listed below.

1 Suspension problem

Failure Date: 10/20/2004

While driving 60 mph vehicle vibrated uncontrollably. Driver was able to maintain control of the vehicle ,and pulled over. The check engine light appeared on the dashboard and remained on. Vehicle was towed to a dealer for inspection. The cause has not been determined at this time.

2 Suspension problem

Failure Date: 09/01/1998

When driving the car under 50 mph the car vibrates, the steering wheel shakes. Dealer contacted and cannot find a problem.
