Two problems related to conventional parking brake have been reported for the 1999 Honda Civic. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Vehicle was parked on shallow slope (neutral gear), parking brake disengaged and car rolled into tree. Estimated speed at impact around 20mph. No occupants in vehicle during collision.
Honda Civic was parked in car port with parking brake up and in first gear. After driver was out of car for a short period of time the car rolled down driveway into another car. Second car was totaled. Neither the parking brake or the car being in gear stopped the car from rolling.
