I have had my srs light on since I purchased this car in July of 2017. My seat belts do not lock at the appropriate times. I was also involved in a wreck driving in rain on the interstate and hydroplaned. I hit a median going about 50 mph. No air bags ejected from the impact. The results of the impact were a dented fender, replacement of the driver side control arm, new ball joints, as well as a desperately needed tire alignment. I feel if this impact was hard enough to bend the control arm then my air bags should have ejected, but I'm no mechanic. Thank you.
Srs light its on.
I just bought this vehicle and the srs light came on after I bought it I've gone to specialist to get this fixed and it's still broken and now I can't get a sticker because of the defective air bags.
My srs light came on. Due to driver side seatbelt buckle issue. Failed inspection because of it. 02 Honda Civic.
When given my VIN, the Honda recall site gives back the wrong model of car. My car is a Civic and it is hard for me to believe that all the 2002s except mine need the takata recall.

Defective car.
Takata recall: I rolled my car on my way to work in August of 2015. I had gotten a letter 2 weeks prior of an airbag recall. I called the local dealerships but due to high volume I was put on a waiting list. My airbags didn't deploy and my driver's seatbelt didn't lock. I suffered a fracture to the base of my skull and a traumatic brain injury. I couldn't work at all for 9 months and could only work 10-15 hours a week for several months after that. A week after the car accident I was fired from my job without severance pay and I called Honda headquarters and they told me to keep checking for class action lawsuits. I was driving on a backroad going 40 mph and I hit some lose gravel. I over reacted and turned the wheel causing me to make a u turn. I hit my breaks hard to stop and make sure my seatbelt would lock. The momentum of stopping caused my Honda to roll. Since the airbags didn't deploy my face repeatedly hit the steering wheel and because my seatbelt didn't lock my head smashed the roof of the Honda repeatedly.
Takata recall srs light is didn't go off. I tried reset my srs light, but cameback srs light is on. I doubt my air bag is takata also and it's not working right.
I contacted my local Honda dealer in order to make an appointment to get takata air bags replaced. I was previously informed by Honda that my car was included in the takata air bag recall and I did a search of your website using my VIN number and confirmed that my car was part of the recall. When I spoke with the local Honda dealership, they said I had to have some paperwork that would have been sent by Honda in order to have the air bags replaced. When I told them I no longer have the paperwork, they stated that there is nothing they can do and they will not replace the airbags. I am afraid to drive the car but I need it to get to work. Can you help resolve this? the Honda dealer contact information: chapman Honda 4646 e. 22nd st tucson, az. 85711 520-445-4024.

"takata recall" - I have gone to two different Honda dealerships to have my airbages replace and both deals have informed me that the parts are not available. I have taken my Civic to ourisman's Honda of laurel on 10/18/14 and 10/27/14. I continued to call and take my car to be service at that location about four months before taking my car to pohanka Honda captiol heights. My first inquire about the airbags was on 2/20/15. They also stated that they did not have the parts. It¿s bee over year and no one has replace the airbags or contacted me to bring my call in. I call pohanka Honda today (8/16/16 @ 6:35) and was informed that there is not a recall on the airbage for my VIN. However, the paperwork dated 2/20/16 indicates that airbage replacement was not completed. I do not understand why its been over an year and no one has contacted me to replace my airbags.

I received a recall notice via mail several months ago. I first visited the Honda dealer in burlington massachusetts in February this year and I was told they would call me when they had the part needed to fix the car. By the end of July, I had already received a second letter regarding the same issue and the Honda dealer still hadn't called me. I went the following week again, showed them the letter and they told me they would call me the next year. As for now, they have not done so. It has been almost a year! this is a problem that can actually kill people, this can not be taken as a joke. This is not acceptable.
I was on my way home from work and I had a horrible car accident I hit a 80,000 lb steel truck my air bags deployed so hard it broke my sternum come up hit my chin busting it open and chipping my front tooth. It also broke my shoulder in 3 places from the seat belt and air bag together. I have bad injuries from the accident and cannot work for a year or more.
