Srs light is always on. I have reset it a number of times but it will go on again after a few days or weeks. The air bags will not deploy when the light is on. I am surprised that this is not a very serious safety issue. From reviewing the complaints, the dealers answers or guesses as to what's wrong are too numerous to list here and the cost just to investigate is just too high. There is something obviously wrong with this system and Honda needs to seriously address this issue.

The brake pedal stick to the floor board caused the driver to crash into the proceeding vehicle rear and the driver’s side frontal air bag failed to deploy causing the driver head to crash into the windshield cutting the driver head and caused swelling to the brain however the contact stated that the passenger frontal air bag did deploy. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and advised that the airbag and brake failure was not caused by a manufacturer defect. My srs light has been on for a few months. It was diagnosed that my srs unit is broken, which I find hard to believe that something can be broken if it is has never been used. Now my air bags will not deploy if I crash. I have to ask Honda why this is not a safety warranty like a seat belt? this is threatening to any Honda driver and quite frankly, scary. I have read beyond numerous complaints regarding the same issue.

Electronic sensor in seatbelt has been sporadically faulty since purchase of car. Finally, after warranty was up, dealership repair shop said it had to be replaced to tune of $380. Later, the consumer was involved in a rear end collision while traveling at 35 mph on a wet road. I was travelling at approximately 40mph on surface streets and, too late, noticed that the car in front of me had stopped. I rear-ended them, and then was promptly hit on the left rear of my vehicle by the car behind me. The adp representative who examined my car said that all three sensors on my car had been impacted, but the driver's side airbag did not deploy. The passenger's side airbag did deploy, but mine did not. Though I was still uninjured, this would not have been the case if I had been on the freeway. Since my car was totaled, no attempt was made to correct the airbag problem. My car was a 2003 Honda Civic lx, 4-door, automatic transmission, with no side-airbags.
