1 Seats problem

Failure Date: 02/09/2011

The contact owns a 2005 Honda Civic. While driving approximately 30 mph the drivers side seat rolled backwards and the contact could not reach the brake pedal. The contact stated that the sliding mechanism on the right side of the drivers seat does not lock in place. The vehicle was not taken to the dealer to be repaired. The approximate failure mileage was 30,000.

2 Seats problem

Failure Date: 11/15/2006

The front seats in my 2005 Honda Civic lx coupe rock constantly. The driver's seat fails more often than the passenger seat. They both rock diagonally - back left to front right. About every 10,000 - 15,000 miles, I need to take my car to the dealership to have them "fix" this problem. They usually replace some bushings in the seat base, which helps for about 10-15,000 miles, and then they start rocking again. Nothing out of the ordinary is done to cause this problem. I drive my car normally, don't flop down in the seat, and don't do anything that should cause this problem. I included the date that this incident first occurred.

3 Seats problem

Failure Date: 12/20/2005

The driver's seat of my 2005 Honda Civic hatchback moved forward and rocked within 1 year of buying it new. The dealer kept saying the movement was normal. Eventually, the bushings were replaced and the fittings tightened and this reduced some of the movement. The back of the seat still moves forward when coming to a gentle stop.
