1 Accelerator Pedal problem

The contact owns a 2006 Honda Civic. While approaching a stop at 30 mph, the vehicle revved. The contact had to step on the brake pedal to stop the vehicle. The vehicle has been taken to the dealer twice, but they could not duplicate the failure. The current mileage was 12,745 and failure mileage was 5,343. Updated 01/02/08. The consumer stated while approaching traffic she tried to apply the brakes, it was very difficult to stop the vehicle. The consumer stated the passengers seat belt will lock at times. 2 Accelerator Pedal problem

Failure Date: 11/25/2005

Honda, on owner vehicle maintenance website, has not disclosed information about recall. This is misleading as the recall was expected to be announced by Nov 16 , 2 weeks ago. Recall number 05v509000.
