Im sure im not the 1st person to compain about this issue my car is nighthawk black pearl its a 2dr Honda Civic ex coupe ive noticed that the top of my roofs paint is starting to fade and is spreading thats not normal. The clear code is going away leaving spots the size of a hand. There should be a recall on this issue.

Unknown Or Other problem #2

Pulley bolt malfunctioned causing water pump to break while also damaging the drive belt.

Unknown Or Other problem #3

Paint. I have nighthawk black pearl, and hood is spiderwebbing. Seems to be very common with this color on 06-07-08 Civic. Please advise. Google returns tons of info on this search. . Read more...

Unknown Or Other problem #4

Problem started at 76,000 miles. Engine noise and vibration during cold start (first thing in morning). Happens in park at start and in reverse. When in drive it is ok. Also does not happen after initial start and running of the day, unless it has sat for more than 8-10 hours. There are loads of similar complaints on the internet as I have searched for those with similar problems. This should not be happening in a car with low mileage. There is a defect that needs attention.

Unknown Or Other problem #5

The condenser on my 2007 Honda Civic was recently punctured by a small pebble during normal highway driving. I have since (through internet research) found this to be a prevalent problem among Honda Civic owners. Upon closer examination, I found that there is little protection afforded the condenser. Road debris can easily fly through the vents in the front end of the vehicle and puncture the condenser. What happened to me at 60,000 miles has happened to others at 600 miles, and it could happen again tomorrow. The repair cost to replace the condenser ($600) is prohibitive, and the lack of a protective grille is a glaring design flaw. A recall is warranted. I wish this could have been avoided, and Honda should be held responsible for the damages incurred to myself and others.

Unknown Or Other problem #6

Ex coupe models. 3rd high mount brake light malfunctioning. Vehicle failed inspection for this reason. Light came back on then went off again while moving wires a few times. Led light not blown, still working but wiring is causing the malfunction. Going to have the vehicle re-wired correctly. I see many complaints online from consumers with this same problem. Very expensive to fix. Led lights shouldnt blow out this soon but to repair the problem the whole led strip has to be replaced and only Honda carries the part. Its also very hard to access the led panel/strip for replacement. Re-wiring is the only cheaper option.

Unknown Or Other problem #7

Driving on the highway, suddenly heard a loud popping noise. Opened up sunroof cover to discover that my sunroof had completely shattered. Nothing hit the glass; it is bowed outwards as if it had become too large for the frame.

Unknown Or Other problem #8

Sun visor in 2007 Honda Civic splits at seam and falls in to line of sight. The visor can no longer be locked in place, it continously falls in to the line of sight.

Unknown Or Other problem #9

I had car crash two weeks ago with Honda Civic exi 2007, during driving past three years I complained in service center few times last year about car stability in turns and after drive test they came up with nothing, it happened with me few times that after taking sharpe turn the care swing and the car go out of control. This time I was taking exit from the bridge and turning down to the main road ,I realize that the turn is sharp and I tried to slow down but the care doesn’t response instead the crazy movement happened again and this time I was holding the wheel and make strong brake surprisingly the care accelerate and turn back to hit the side steel rail , I couldn’t explain to police and all the people passes by the accident shocked about what happened that it seem up normal car response , I was in conversation with friend has the same car and I shocked after I know he has made accident the same way , not only him but in visiting the show room the dealer had the same accident but with jazz car , I realize that Honda has serious problem in stability and I urge all Honda drivers to take care and drive safe and try to get rid of this car and I urge all concerned person to act or conduct the complain in order to find solution before we Honda kill more life’s.

Unknown Or Other problem #10

The sun visor in my 2007 two door Honda has broken and will not stay in place. It gets in the way of my vision and distracts me when trying to drive. The design flaw of the visors in this car is major. It will not stay up and falls down in front of my face. A few times it has caused such a distraction I almost ran off the road trying to keep it out of my face. This occurs every day and I have to move it to the side which bothers me. Nothing has been done to correct this failure. I am not paying $100 for a replacement which will only end up failing anyways. Honda needs to own up and make a recall so that this design flaw does not cause crashes or any deaths due to the major distraction it creates to the drivers.

Unknown Or Other problem #11

Paint / clear coat failure on 2007 Honda Civic in 4 years. Paint / clear coat has oxidized and begun chipping away down to bare metal on roof, hood, and around door and trunk edges.

Unknown Or Other problem #12

While operating the above vehicle, the driver side sun visor imploded, became unstable and fell into my line of sight. This was a known hazardous defect on behalf of the manufacturer, Honda. I just became aware this has been a well documented flaw in the design and the company has been put on notice. The failure of Honda to voluntarily recall and/or repair the defected visor amounts to negligence according to most state case law. This should immediately result in a civil action before another failed product presents an undue hazard to another victim of Honda.

Unknown Or Other problem #13

I have a 2007 Honda Civic coupe and both the passenger and driver sun visors have become loose and hang down in the way contantly. The driver side visor has now detached and is of no use for blocking sunlight. There have been many times that my vision as a driver has been compromised due to the lack of protection from the sun visor. I feel extremely unsafe driving in direct sunlight, even with the protection of sunglasses. The passenger side visor seems as though it will eventually detach as well. The failure has not been corrected, as it happend just after my car wasn't under warranty anymore. The replacement of these visors will cost $75 each and my Honda dealership doesnt guarantee that the new visors won't have the same problems that the old ones had. I have done research and many other Civic owers are having the same issue with the visors. It is imperative that Honda corrects this problem and has a recall for the sun visors, otherwise as a consumer concerned about my safety, I will not want to purchase another Honda.

Unknown Or Other problem #14

I have a 2007 Honda Civic, and the driver's side sun visor hinge is defective. It broke, and the visor is no longer adjustable -- it just hangs straight down. Judging from the number of complains being registered elsewhere online, this is a very common problem. It is also a safety concern, as I am now blinded by the sun or have the visor blocking my field of vision. I will contact Honda to request a free replacement, but as my car is out of warranty, I will probably have to buy a new one.

Unknown Or Other problem #15

The driver's side visor is defective. It appears as though the seal on the hinge for the visor has come undone (not due to any excess force, simply due to general everyday use). The defective hinge on the visor leads to the inability to properly position the visor, when in use, or not in use. When in use, this creates a safety hazard due to obstructing the driver's vision by the visor itself due to inability to properly position the visor (it does not stay in place), or affecting the driver's vision due to not being able to properly shield glare and sun due to the inability to properly position the visor while driving. When not in use, the visor may not stay in place, therefore "flopping" in front of the driver's line of vision. This is a safety concern that, when researched on the internet, is large problem with Honda Civic owners like myself. This has not yet caused me to have an accident, but I'm trying to be proactive in preventing such an incident. I have tried multiple times to speak with my Honda service people, and I've been told this is not covered under warranty. However, the service people have told me they see this complaint "all the time. " this is a safety defect that needs to be addressed and properly handled. Thank you for looking into this matter.

Unknown Or Other problem #16

Paint is peeling on car big areas on roof and car is only 5 yrs old, sunvisor broke into pieces and they wouldnt replace it even though it had a recall on it, and engine mount broke also.

Unknown Or Other problem #17

This report deals with a recurring problem with my Honda Civic. In 2009, I took my Honda to the local dealership due to the console between the front seats becoming extremely hot, so hot in fact, that I could not touch the emergency brake. The dealership said that it was fixed, however, a year to the month later, the same thing happened when the heat was again turned on. The dealership said that they could not brace the heat line to anything, that they would have to "wad up something" to have it rest upon. I am very dissatisfied with the many recalls and now this situation that keeps surfacing. When will this happen again, if it has already occurred twice.

Unknown Or Other problem #18

Rapid tire wear occurred on the inner portions of both rear tires. The problem was discovered after noticing much road noise and having the tires rotated. Two new tires were purchased and the rear upper control arms were replaced. The problem still exists to this day after consulting two different Honda garages they both confirmed that the rear control arms were installed correctly and are within spec. Both garages recommended replacing the tires again, but this is becoming very costly. The ride of the car over the last year has gotten significantly worse and now I'm noticing braking problems. The car hops in the back when applying the brakes at highway speeds. Honda is denying the problem and has offered no compensation.

Unknown Or Other problem #19

I own two 2007 Honda Civic lx coupe & sedan with15,000 miles and coupe with 30,000 miles. Both cars have the same sun visor problem. It breaks and will not stay in up postion. The visor could suddenly fall in front of the driver and cause an accident.

Unknown Or Other problem #20

Premature tire wear and failure due to rear upper control arm suspension defect.

Unknown Or Other problem #21

Defective sunvisors- fall into line of sight. Broke at approx 40,000 miles. First the driver side and about a week later the passenger side. No longer able to keep them out of the way.

Unknown Or Other problem #22

My sun visors have cracked/split at the top on both the driver and passenger side. They will not stay up and block my vision so that I have to turn them to the side facing the doors while driving. I had them both replaced while under warranty on September 13, 2008. They broke exactly the same way again this summer(2010). The visors are not able to withstand the heat and seem to melt and burst at the seam in the summer months.

Unknown Or Other problem #23

The contact owns a 2007 Honda Civic. Whenever the contact drives the vehicle and depresses the brake or accelerator pedals, she hears a sound as if water is rushing forward and backwards. She stated that the sound appeared to be coming from under the trunk. When taken to the dealer, they kept the vehicle for a week, but did not repair or diagnose the vehicle. The contact was informed that this was a normal occurrence. When the window is closed and the vehicle is placed into park, she can hear the sound more clearly as if she is in a boat. The failure mileage was 13,595. Updated 09/23/08 updated 10/01/08.

Unknown Or Other problem #24

2007 Honda Civic. Consumer has issues about the blind spot on the driver and passenger's side of the vehicle. The consumer stated the blind spot occurred between the vertical and the slanted front beams.

Unknown Or Other problem #25

On Wednesday, June 11, 2008 I was driving from Mar vista, CA to san leandro, CA with my 4 year old son and 20 year old sister in law. We were on the 580 w driving in the far left lane at 65mph at 11:30 am when we heard an explosion in the rear of the car. When we inspected the car, the right rear tire was blown through. The side walls were intact, but the whole top part of the tire was not connected to the side wall. My car is a 2007 Honda Civic coupe ex and it had about 8300 miles. I purchased the car in July 2007. The crash caused significant damage to the front left side of my car. The car is now at a body shop and is being repaired in san leandro, CA. We have the defective tire. After doing more research I found that Honda had issued a service bulletin about uneven or rapid tire wear. TSB 08-001 on February 8, 2008. I did not receive notification of this serious defect because Honda is not required to notify consumers regarding tsbs. This defect is serious and affects nearly all 2006-2007 Honda Civics. This TSB needs to become a recall. All owners of 2006-2007 Honda Civics need to be made aware of this life threatening defect. I understand that tires should be checked regularly, and many consumers do, however, my tires did not give me any warning of uneven wearing. Actually, it would be hard to notice since my 2007 Civic coupe ex is not quite on the road and you can feel any little bump in the road. I was told that this was normal because of the stiff suspension. Overall, I seriously hope that this is addressed quickly. Many unsuspecting drivers, many of whom have driven Honda's in the past are not expecting this type of problem which can cause tire blowouts and possible fatal accidents. It would be unfortunate that a class action suit or the death of innocent consumers prompt Honda to make this TSB 08-001 notice a recall notice.

Unknown Or Other problem #26

I bought my 2007 Honda Civic coupe last febuary( haven't had problems until tonight car is leaking right there at the seams of the rear air bags and roof meet, the right side, water running down the sides onto the seat, discovered the other side was leaking at the same place but not as bad . Feel a cool breeze from both sides. Left side in the front where plastic and fabric meet at the top was leaking as well, the interior is soaked through. Obviously theres a problem with the seal or something but I am absolutitly furious about this situation,I did not spend $25,000 etc. In cash, for my damm car to leak a river, thats something I would expect from my 35 year old house, not my under a year old car. And a simple cleaning from a detailer is not gonna fix my problem. I am so pissed I can't even begin to express it. I just want to get this problem resolved even if that results in getting a new car and starting over again, cause the way I see it is that my car is damaged goods, yes you can fix the problem (maybe) but theres already water damage and who's knows how far the water has gone or what it has leaked into and if it is to be fixed who do I know it won't happen again. I don't exactly have a lot of money, by buying this car it is a huge part of me that has to last and is the most expensive thing I own I will probably never have this chance to own a new car again and I'm not gonna let this slip by like its nothing. I didn't know who exactaly is in charge or who to go to so if chance be you can't help me I'm sure you can direct me to someone who can correct it. Feel free to forward this message to anyone who can help me. Please contact me a. S. A. P before I have a small pond, river or lake in my car(and at that time the damage will already have been done).

Unknown Or Other problem #27

Increasingly worse rear tire noise. Dealer says normal. Eventual first oil change and dealer admits to tech. Svc. Bulletin. 4hrs labor (no loaner) and hard sell to replace tires for $300 aprox. Since this was my fault(?) sun visor failed and has become a hazard with no remedy available, only another defective visor.

Unknown Or Other problem #28

I have two problems with the 2007 Honda Civic si that we just bought this month: 1) I was told we get am and fm radio reception. I get absolutely no am radio reception and was offered the choice of having Honda install xm radio (for $500). I installed it myself for $150, but this all seems like a ploy to get us to buy xm radio from them. 2) every day there is a new paint defect to notice. My hood looks like it has freckles at this point. Needless to say, I'll never patronize the Honda corporation ever again. Jason williams jaymon@us. Ibm. Com (845) 452-2537.

Unknown Or Other problem #29

Ac stop working on my new 3 month old 2007 Honda Civic. Air conditioning condenser coil received damage apparently caused bt a pebble that was kicked up while driving on the highway. This appears to be a common problem amongst Honda owners from the research I've done. There is virtually no protection against such an event and this part appears much too fragile to be exposed as it is. The condenser must be replaced and would cost $700. Dealer refuse to fix under warranty.

Unknown Or Other problem #30

Slow throttle response since purchase, door glass rattle since purchase, the third gear would give resistance, which is a known problem with the six speed transmission. I patched the problem by changing the transmission fluid and installing a shorter shifter yet this is not a permanent solution. Honda has refused to repair the actual problem with the third gear synchro and at one point stated that it was probably caused by my driving, the problem with the vehicle going into third gear is a known problem and there is a technical service bulletin that Honda corporate has released for the exact problem. The headliner rattles, door gasket seal has been coming off since purchase, suspension popping noise in the front passenger side strut since purchase and the sound has become more frequent, the driver side visor was defective and was replaced, the driver door hits the fender when opening just started happening since Honda worked on my vehicle. I have been taking my vehicle to two different dealerships (recommended by Honda corporate) and nothing has been properly repaired. I feel as though I have been given the run around for the past year. Honda has made several attempts to repair the problems and has not been able to, they have only damaged my vehicle during their attempts to repair it. They have damaged the front bumper three times, the side of the vehicle once, the door and fender once. They of course denied any involvement in the damage, then repair it under warranty.

Unknown Or Other problem #31

A/c stopped cooling. Took my '07 Civic (fewer than 6500 miles) to a Honda dealership and was told a rock damaged my condenser. Repairs are estimated at $550. Got the best warranty I could when I bought the car and it still won't cover it due to "physical damage". After some research on the topic, I've noticed countless websites and blogs concerning this issue. Seems like a textbook design flaw to me. I can't believe Honda, who "stands for quality" would like something like this keep happening to their customers. I'm going with the camry next time.

Unknown Or Other problem #32

Consumer would like all complaints regarding a 2007 Honda Civic lx two door.

Unknown Or Other problem #33

2007 Honda Civic has a reflection of the dash board onto the windshield causing a distraction. The consumer stated depending on the angle of the sun, there was a reflection that made it difficult to read the instrument panel.
