Premature brake wear. Front brakes exhibited squealing after 15,000 miles. Replacement of all four brake pads was required: approximately 1/16 th inch was remaining on each of the oem brake pads.
Car was making squeaking noise when driving brought car to dealership they state at 7400 miles fron brakes need to be replaced. This is rediculous. They say it is from aggressive driving this is nuts they will no cover replacement of pads and tell me it is from rear brakes not being adjusted.
On January 17, I had an oil change and vehicle inspection done. My brakes were at 6mm. On approximately February 15, I noticed a "metal on metal" sound coming from my car. On February 22 I took it in for service and was told my brakes needed to be replaced. It's a 2010 Honda Civic with 21,000 miles. I've owned it for 1 year and 2 months- so the brakes were no longer under warranty. Seems as though Honda corp needs to start looking in to this as this seems like its becoming quite a common occurance and it's excessive and highly unacceptable. I will never buy another Honda- which is sad because Honda is supposed to be the car to buy if you want to avoid repairs and breakdowns!!!!! (that's why I bought the Honda- its history of reliability and stamina. Well- that is quickly going out the window unless Honda corp does something!).
