1 Air Bag Light On problem

Failure Date: 06/23/2018

I went in to have the recall repaired done for airbags. Days later my airbag light came on I notified Honda and was told I had to pay for an inspection. The light comes and goes. I have never had an issue prior to them supposedly fixing a recall now my airbag will not stay off. They claim it has nothing to do with the recall repair but I find that hard to believe. This was never an issue before they fooled with my car. This is a major safety concern I have two small children and I can't allow something to happen to them driving in an unsafe vehicle.

2 Air Bag Light On problem

Failure Date: 08/03/2017

The contact owns a 2010 Honda Civic. While driving 65 mph, the air bag warning indicator illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer (Honda of tenafly, 28 county rd, tenafly, NJ 07670) where it was stated that due to the high mileage on the vehicle, the contact had to pay for the repair. The contact agreed to pay for the repair. It was diagnosed that the srs unit, and passenger and driver side air bags needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was contacted at 800-999-1009 and stated that since the vehicle had high mileage, the contact had to pay for the repair. A case number was not provided. The approximate failure mileage was 118,000.

3 Air Bag Light On problem

Failure Date: 08/19/2016

4 Air Bag Light On problem

Failure Date: 07/22/2016

"takata recall" I replied to the first letter on 7/22/2016, but I'm still waiting for the dealer to contact me to replace the parts. Sometimes the airbag light will turned on and off by itself apparently without any reason.

5 Air Bag Light On problem

Failure Date: 05/23/2016

Takata recall. The contact owns a 2010 Honda Civic. The contact received notification of NHTSA campaign number: 16v346000 (air bags). The part was not available within a reasonable time frame to schedule the recall repair. The dealer did not give a specific date for when the part would become available. The contact was unable to determine when the vehicle would be repaired. The manufacturer could not provide an estimated date for when the contact's vehicle would receive the recall repair. The contact stated that the air bag warning indicator was randomly flashing and then remained illuminated. The failure mileage was unknown. VIN tool confirms parts not available.

6 Air Bag Light On problem

Failure Date: 05/31/2015

I am a first time buyer so I didn't know much about buying a car . I recently bought a Honda Civic and the air bag light is flashing non stop, call Honda dealership and they told me that means something is wrong with my airbags . Also, it shows that all side airbags are off . Therefore , I didn't know that the dealership was required to show me the car fax of the car so I am not sure if this car has been in an accident or salvage . I call the dealership to see if they can check the air bag for me they stated to go in the next day, therefore I went in the next day the dealership already went out of business within that short of time being . Now , I am worry about my safety therefore I would like to know how I can seek any help or advice upon this issue.

7 Air Bag Light On problem

Failure Date: 12/25/2012

Let me make something clear. . . This is not the indicator in the middle of the dash board that lights when weight is detected under 65 lbs in the passenger seat, which appropriately deactivates the passenger airbag. This is an indicator light in the instrument cluster showing 'side airbag off', that has turned on 3 times in the past three months, only for maybe 5-10 seconds each time. First noticed on christmas day going around 20mph, the light turned on for maybe 5 seconds, then turned off. Latest occurence was last weekend, while sitting at the atm machine. Both times I had it in for service, they run diagnostics on it, and there are no codes logged to indicate an error condition, and of course, being that it is so sporadic, they cannot reproduce the condition. This is extremely concerning to me because I have a child that I want to be protected by any and all necessary airbags if in the unfortunate event that I/we are in an accident. So which one of the 'side' airbag is not working when that indicator lights? one? all? the number of airbags this car has, was a deal-making selling point at the time of purchase. I have really lost faith in Honda with this and a lot of other service issues.
