With the manual transmission, when gearing down, depressing the clutch does not disengage the cruise control, so when you release the clutch, the vehicle resumes the original cruise set speed without pressing the "resume" button on the steering wheel. When we took the vehicle back to the dealer, they told us it is supposed to work that way. I have been driving manual transmission vehicles for 30 years, and it is common knowledge that depressing either the clutch or brake should disengage the cruise control.
