Transmission Noise problems of the 2015 Honda Civic

2015 Honda Civic. Consumer states that their vehicle begin making a noise and stopped suddenly. The consumer stated the transmission failed while driving. Themanufacturer was notified and offered to pay a portion of the repairs. The vehicle was repaired.

Car stopped propelling forward as if transmission suddenly went out while I was driving on interstate 29 just before the on ramp to interstate 80 at steady speed (not speeding, not accelerating. . . Just went out as I was driving). No clunks, jolts, loud noises. . . The ability to accelerate was just gone. Coasted to the side of the road. No gears would engage when I tried to put it in gear. The handle moved, but engaged with nothing. Transmission fluid had been changed in June 2020. This happened on sept 28, 2020. Light noise at parking lot before that on acceleration. I stopped and looked at it, but nothing obvious. It was dangerous in that there was nothing I could do except coast off to the side of the road. There was construction there, but fortunately I could pull over before the actual on ramp, but that particular curve is dangerous because it's very busy where two interstates cross so I was stalled in a bad place. Don't know the parts or invoices yet. (this box is so small I can't see the whole paragraph. I can only see two lines at a time. ).

Driving on the highway at 60 mph, my car made a noise almost like a flapping sound and suddenly loses power. Got to the side of the highway, called roadside assistance and towed car to service station. The car started and ran - the car went into drive, reverse and park but would not move at all. Still no warning lights. The transmission needed to be replaced. There were no indications such as leakage, lights or slipping of transmission. Just completel malfunction on a highway 200 miles from home. Had the expense of transmission, car rental and hotel. You buy a Honda for reliability and never think this would happen.
