general problems of the 2019 Honda Civic

Noticed when braking, car veered to the right. The day before I dropped it off to the dealership to have it checked, the brakes felt weird a bit hard, and suddenly would not brake for few seconds (functioned again after) as I was approaching a roundabout. I dropped it off to the dealership and they confirmed an issue with the abs modulator. I am currently waiting for parts for it.

Sometimes wheni go to brake the brake pedal goes all the way up and I can’t press it down to stop the vehicle. This only lasts a few seconds then the brakes return to normal. I believe this may be due to a previous recall. “a common brake issue reported with the 2019 Honda Civic is a potential problem with the brake system due to a faulty tie rod fastener connecting the brake master cylinder and brake booster, which could result in improper braking and is currently subject to a recall by Honda” not sure why my vehicle is showing 0 recalls under the VIN.

Car smells like rotten eggs and now wont start. Also, the brake light keeps flashing on the dash. It started flashing twice while driving and now it flashes when you try to start it.

The carr some times breaks self and the gasoline not passing through the engine.

I was stopped at a red light in the left-hand turn lane, waiting to turn left. Light turned green and I accelerated turning left. The car suddenly braked with no car or obstruction in my path. No collision mitigation light warnings came on. The car just slammed on the breaks!! dealer service manager told me over the phone that unless a code comes up, they really can’t diagnose the issue. While car in sport mode in center lane of a three lane road at 45mph traffic ahead by over 300ft began gently slowing down to +/- 25mph extreme braking was automatically applied w/o driver input, "brake" message was displayed flashing on instrument cluster. The system seems to work correctly when its needed, but the concern is it will brake while nothing has been infront of me. I have come to dead stop while going 15 through a empty parking lot. The vehicle is open for inspection at any time. The safety of myself and others is at risk due to faulty detection and can cause an accident with my child in the car. I have not taken it to be inspected or looked at. There has been no warning lights about faults in anything.

On multiple occasions, at least 10, my automatic braking detector system has engaged when no other cars were in front of me or around me on the road. It has happened while driving in the city at slow speeds, on the highway at 70-80mph, and most recently while going up ramp to merge onto interstate. The automatic brakes will engage causing my car to slightly brake and I then have to accelerate, especially while on the interstate, to keep the car moving or else it could just stop in the middle of the road with a potential to cause a deadly accident. My cruise control no longer works either. I wonder if these issues are synonymous? my safety and the safety of others is definitely at risk with my car randomly braking with no cars in front of me or next to me. The vehicle routinely gets inspected at my Honda dealership every 6-8 months when I get my oil changed and they have not reported any issues. There have been no warnings on the car prior to these incidents happening. This car has no accidents and currently has 30,000 miles. I would estimate the car had about 28,000 miles when the last incident happened while going up the interstate ramp. The braking system malfunction started at the beginning of 2023 from my knowledge.

I was driving down the highway near where I live in hanford California the highway is 198. I was going 68, 69 mph. No one was on the road my car literally slammed on its brakes and jerked to the right. This has happened 2times I have turned off the assist I’m to afraid it will happen again. I am bringing it into the dealership tomorrow and also have them check my airbags the light in the dashboard intermittently keeps coming on then after a bit it will turn off. The first time I brought it in for the airbag lights coming on they informed me that it was due to me pulling the seat back to far I am 5 foot four. I don’t normally pull the seat back. It would be more closer to the steering wheel for me, but there was a problem supposedly with the connection that is under the seat it doesn’t make me feel too safe to think that me moving. My seat is going to prevent my airbags from deploying god for bid if I get into an accident.

Several times, while driving, my car would randomly slam on the brakes when there were no other cars around. I feel this is a safety issue that could cause an accident to the tear end of the car.

The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the brake pad had failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired however, the a few months later the failure recurred. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed hat the brake pad had failed again and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired however the failure recurred. The dealer was notified of the failure and the contact was denied service and advised to contact the manufacturer. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure, but no assistance was provided. The contact was advised to call the NHTSA hotline. The failure mileage was approximately 63,000.

My 2019 Honda Civic sport has 2 different recalls and this car has not been fixed or checked by a mechanic at this time, I was sent back home from my appointment at Honda loma linda dealership with a promised phone call to resolve the situation, which as today 1- car stall's unexpectedly while driving, when this happens it looses power. 2- ac was not working properly since the car was bought in 2022, I set my appointment at Honda dealership but service was denied due to some other vehicles priority, my phone calls were never returned and as today I've been spending out of my pocket trying to fix the issue on my own despite I had it reported to the dealership quite while ago.

The vehicle's automatic braking function activates for no reason. Should only function if it detects objects in it's path which driver not reacting to. It has happened multiple times at both freeway speed as well as city speed. Mostly happens quick, applying slight brake with "brake" light illuminating on dash then quits. Scared it will apply full braking at some point. I know you are claiming occurs on accords and cr-v but mine being a Civic it is happening to me also. Please address this and require Honda to fix this fast!.

A police report was filed. The vehicle was towed to a tow lot, where it was totaled. The dealer and the manufacturer were not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 62,000.

I was slightly braking because the vehicle in front of me was going to make a right turn instead of braking it started speeding making a strange noise I was able to slightly release the brake and brake again so it wouldn't hit the car in the front.

When driving home from work my car suddenly showed multiple errors such as emissions system problem, brake system problem, hill start problem, power steering problem , ems system problem. The car only has 14,000 miles and is a year old. The car does not shift or steer properly. Please recall this car because many others have had the same problem.

Everytime I start the car I get a low tire pressure warning, I have checked all four tire pressures and the spare repeatedly, and regardless of wether I fill them with the correct pressure or not the tpms does not stop signaling low tire pressure. Warning has not gone away since it came up despite correcting pressure bi-weekly. Currently has been 6 months. Also occasionally the car will brake by itself both on the highway and around neighborhoods (low speeds and high) and without anyone in front.

Driving behind I was driving behind traffic was pulling up to a red light at the intersection put my foot on the brake and got nothing at all the brake was hard as a rock I wound hitting two cars and plowing into a tree I even tried hitting the emergency rake button nothing no skid marks no nothing the car just kept on rolling.

Driving my car today and had a huge issue with my brakes. When backing out of parking space and noticed someone walking behind me and hit the brakes, it was like they were stuck. After about 3 seconds of pushing them as hard as I could, they finally gave and just barely missed hitting the car in front of me. I finally searched the internet to see if anyone else had experienced this problem. I was very shocked to see this is a known problem! this is a huge security risk! I was almost in 2 separate accidents today because of a known problem! shouldn't someone be notifying tahoe owners of this issue to keep the public safe?.

On two occasions, my car's automatic braking system has engaged when nothing was in front of me. The first time, I was on the highway, and merging from an on ramp. The car suddenly dead stopped, brakes fully engaged. There was a car next to me, but nothing in front of me to cause the braking system. Luckily, no one was behind me. The second occurrence I was traveling about 30 mph on a local road. There was nothing anywhere around me. I approached a green light, and as I was going through the intersection, the cars braking system fully engaged. It screeched the car to a halt. I was at a dead stop, in the middle of the intersection.

Monday 6. 10. 19 my daughter made a left hand turn from ward road to 44th Ave. An f150 came to a stop and she applied brakes accordingly. She got errors collision mitigation and she lost the ability to brake. She read ended the f150. In her words it was like sliding on ice. Crash was under 20 mph and her phone picked up software errors. Car is with usaa as of 6/13/19 wheat ridge pd was on scene but no tickets issues due to car failure.

On December 20, I bought the car, Honda Civic type r 2019 red. Approximately the day I bought it, I noticed that when I put the second change to a strange noise, I told the seller emmanuel berrios and he told me that maybe it is me who is throwing the wrong changes. Time passes and I keep going more often I call America Honda the following month, which was in January about 3 weeks after buying the vehicle and I tell them that I am having problems with the transmission that every time I put the second change it makes me an strange noise, all the information is pointed out, the case number they give me is # 09236240 and in that case number is all the information previously mentioned. When I make the first change of oil and filter of the auto I communicate what of said failure and they tell me the car is well maybe they are theirs. On March 24 I noticed that when I put the car in second place the change after several days took the car to the dealer yesterday March 25, 2019 and today March 26 the manager calls me if he authorized it to lower the transmission since the codes that the car gave him did not say anything accurate and the technician tells him that there may have been a bad handling or a bad change and there is the communication to the service manager (xxxx) the car is new and since he bought it had a failure of transmission so mismanagement can not be and he tells me that the technician confirm that there was a mishandling or Honda guarantee or the extended that I put additional to the car would cover the damage and at that time I communicate from the beginning communicate problems of transmission.
