Honda dealer and Honda USA tell me that my wife (95lbs) is not heavy enough to activate the passenger air bag and make the dash indicator go out. The owners manual says (pg47) that the weight to activate the air bag is 65lbs. Is this a Honda problem ?.
Our passenger seat airbag does not work when I sit in the seat. Our Honda dealer has said there computer does not see a problem we determined that I may not meet the weight allowance as I weigh about 88-90 lbs. We have complained to the american Honda motor company and were told they would get back to us but that was nearly a month ago. . All other people who have sat in the passenger seat did not experience this problem and we have not received clear information as to what the weight allowance is for this car. When I sit in the seat, the airbag light stays on. I am extremely concerned about Honda's apparent indifference as well as the lack of safety I feel when sitting in that seat.
