Driving car on I-76 in pennsylvania. Speed set to 72 mph. Passed a truck and the cruise control shut off without warning and would not restart. This posed a risk to me because I had just completed a pass of a truck and started to slow without my knowledge. This resulted in the truck catching back up to me on a curve - a dangerous situation (a truck would never pass on the right, let alone in a curve. ).
Driving the vehicle on the interstate and cruise control will randomly turn off and I cannot turn the cruise control back on until I pull over and put the vehicle in park. I feel it is unsafe to have to pull over on the interstate and put the vehicle in park to be able to use cruise control. This is the only fix to the issue right now, so when I am on a long trip, I have to pull over so I know I can maintain a safe constant speed.
My 2022 Honda Civic has been having issues with the eps rack and parts. There has been a recall on this part on the Honda Civics and unfortunately my vehicle was not on the list of cars that was made in the manufacturing time. My car is extremely hard to turn the steering wheel while driving and it causes my cruise control steering system to not work correctly almost causing many accidents. I have also had to buy 2 new sets of tires as it has caused them to wear down faster. Ive had alignments and the car will still steer me to the right direction. The front tires rub very harshly when I need to make a turn. When turning it makes many noises. When I go start to go about 45mph the car will start shaking very harshly until 80mph. The car started to shake and make clunking noises about 6 months in to me having the vehicle and the Honda dealership said it was normal and the issues continued to get worse. As soon as I saw the recall come out I quickly scheduled an appointment for it to be looked at just for my specific car to not be on the list but have all issues that the recall is creating on these vehicles. This is very dangerous as I have small children and the issues continue to worsen.
Was driving on the interstate at approximately 75 mph. Randomly the cruise control stopped keeping speed. Someone was on my tail when it disabled and could not get it to re-engage. The dash said the cruise control system was still enabled, but would not allow me to set the speed. I'm reading on online forums about several other drivers of this particular model vehicle are having this same issue. When trying to set the speed, it beeped 3 times. Turning off the car and back on re-enabled the cruise control.
Adaptive cruise control will shut of randomly and for no reason. Must wait for it to re-engage adaptive cruise control or power off/on vehicle. During this time the auto high-beam feature is not useable.
Since day one of purchasing the vehicle which now has 6000 miles on it the cruise control intermittently drop out and you cannot reengage it unless you pull over turn off the car and restart the car.
While driving on the interstate both adaptive cruise control(acc) and regular cruise control have disengaged on multiple occasions. Once this occurs the cruise control will not engage regardless of whether I try acc or regular cruise control and I receive a message "cruise control off" and a beep when I try. The only consistent solution seems to be to turn off the car and turn it back on. There have been multiple instances where the system disengaged while I was between other vehicles and my safety was definitely at risk due to a sudden change in speed without a logical traffic reason. I have not had the vehicle inspected by a dealer because this only occurs very randomly(5-10 times in 12,00 miles) and to reproduce it would likely require hours of driving. I am only able to speciically list one date that I know that this problem occured while my friends and I were on a 12 hour road trip back from watching an nfl game. Thankfully I was driving and was already aware of the issue and quickly accelerated away from the 18 wheeler that was tailgating dangerously close behind me. The vehicle is available for inspection upon request.
The cruise control turns off by itself while driving and cannot be turned back on without restarting the car. It can put others at risk because of the unexpected speed change. The car has 800 miles and it has happened 3 times so far. No warnings or lights occurred prior to it shutting off. . Read more...
My 2022 Honda, VIN 19xfl1h87ne004420 when in cruise control mode either adaptive cruise control or regular, cruise control mode intermittently shuts off. The automatic headlight diming function also shuts off. There are no messages, warnings or codes associated with it. Attempting to reset the cruise does not works and the car beeps when it is attempted. The only way to reset cruise control is to stop, place the car in park or stop, place the car in park and turn the ignition off and restart. The issue is that when in traffic on the interstate, when cruise shuts off, operator (me) may not necessarily se it when it happens. As the car slows unknowingly, vehicles behind may run in to the car or create unnecessary congestion. The dealer asked if I could video this and I did. The video was after it shutoff and my attempts to reset it. I provided this video to the dealer and they indicated that it was useless, though it was requested by them. I have had my car at the dealers' service center 3 times now and they could no replicate the issue. However the issue occurs intermittently and usually on long (50 miles or more) interstate drives which they have not performed. The issue started within 1 week of purchasing the vehicle. The environment that this occurs in has always been clear, no inclement weather, sometimes in traffic and others when isolated.
Cruise control (either in adaptive cruise control or regular) disengages randomly and if you attempt to restart the cruise, the cruise control will not work. The cruise control icon will appear on the center display and beep, with the words "cruise control off", to get this working again, the only way I've found is to stop the car and either put it in park and/or shut off the car or turn it back on. The problem seems to happen at random, and so the dealership at this point can not help me. This does not seem to be an isolated incident as others have been posting online about the exact same issue. . Read more...
Cruise control disengages 20 minutes after activation. It can not be re-engaged without stopping the car.
Acc and normal cruise control always stops or canceling while on driving on the freeway.
After driving anywhere from 20-30 minutes my car’s cruise control feature experiences a bug. From my experience while the vehicle is in cruise control the cars system will make a low tone elongated beep and the cruise control system will stop working. As the vehicle is in motion and attempting to engage/set the cruise control feature the hud alerts that the “cruise control” needs to be on/active. No matter how many times you deactivate and activate cruise control the system will not allow you to set any desired speed because it perceives the cruise control feature as “off”. The only fix I’ve found is to come to a complete stop or park and restart the vehicle. I’m not the only person to experience this. The photo uploaded shows the hud telling me that the acc is off when it is in fact on. However the system will not engage and set the speed. Yet, I hope I have offered the most details. My suggestion is to rewrite the coding/update for the cars system to detect the cars cruise control feature. Or implement a double click which overrides/automatically turns the cc feature on and sets the desired speed.
