Warranty work has not been completed and I have had this issue for months.
Vehicle: 2025 Honda Civic touring hybrid - continental procontact tires on sun oct 19 11:30am while driving n on i95 at SC/nc border at hwy speeds in heavy traffic the lr tire/rim exploded causing the car to spin out and nearly cause a serious accident. I was able to bring the car under control and pull to the side of the road. The car was nearly new 4 mths old w/2300 miles. The tires/rims were in new condition. Honda roadside service refused to tow the car under their roadside policy. I called triple a and paid out of pocket to have the car towed to walmart who installed an off brand tire of the same size that I was able to continue to virginia. While examining the tire/rim at walmart service they showed me how the complete inside sidewall of the tire completly separated in 1 piece from the rest of the tire/rim. These continental procontact tires are a dangerous safety hazard and Honda should recall the vehicles and replace them with a different brand, preferably michelin. I've contacted Honda USA customer relations and so far they have refused to take any action or cover my tow & temp tire replacement cost nor accept responsibility to replace the dangerous continental tires. I currently have the bad tire in my possession for Honda/NHTSA inspection.
This car is have been giving me issues for months even tried to trade in for months but got denied this is an safety hazard I can lose my life but the steering power is bad is tight the braking system is sensitive everything is difficult and expensive it’s killing my pockets which why I can’t pay my car note and why should I pay for a car that’s not safe ! I want to be put another vehicle.
