Two problems related to side/window air bag have been reported for the 2004 Honda Civic Hybrid. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
I was merging onto the interstate from the ramp and the passenger side, seat side airbag deployed for no reason. Honda shows no current recalls for my car. A recall for the main airbags had already been made. Fortunately there wasn't anyone in the passenger seat at the time, or they might have been injured.
Tl -the contact owns a 2004 Honda Civic Hybrid. The contact stated that while driving 60 mph the driver lost control of vehicle as a result it went off the road and none of the air bags deployed except for the side air bag on the passenger side. The contact mentioned that the vehicle had been taken in to the dealer before the accident for an illuminated air bag lamp but they did not have the parts available to repair it. A police report was not file and no injuries were reported. The vehicle was towed to local shop who was not able to diagnosed the problem. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure and current mileage was 62,000. Pm.
