The contact owns a 2006 Honda Civic Hybrid. While traveling 40 mph the contact noticed that the vehicle had suddenly shut off without and could not be restarted. The vehicle was taken to a local mechanic where the contact had the eps circuit replaced, however the contact is still experiencing the failure. There were no prior warnings. The current and failure mileages were 81000.

2 Engine problem

1. Intermittent problem with the autostop feature. When slowing to a stop, autostop engages as designed but when the car comes to a complete stop, the car shutters and the autostop disengages. 2. When driving 20 mph and below, car will frequently jerk and/or rpms will jump to 2000 and remain there until acceleration or braking.

2006 Honda Civic Hybrid customer received a recall letter and called the dealer to set up time to bring car in and was told that the work couldn't be done on the weekend and that they don't give rental cars**.
