Seat Belt problem #2

On several occasions, the srs light has come on with code 4-1 which was diagnosed by to be the right front seatbelt tensioner failure. Each time the dealer replaced the right front seatbelt assembly. The first several times, Honda covered the cost under its lifetime seatbelt warranty. The last time this occurred, Honda refused to cover under warranty after the dealer replace the seatbelt assembly. According to the dealer, this is a common problem and Honda issued notice to dealers saying that they should not honor Honda's lifetime seatbelt warranty. I opened a case with Honda (n012015-04-0301347) and Honda refused to honor its warranty and refused to provide any explanation for why the replacement of a defective seat belt assembly is not covered under its lifetime warranty on seatbelts.

Seat Belt problem #3

I was involved in an accident and the front driver's side seat belt malfunctioned and the seat belt did not restrain my body from moving forward; due to the seat belt malfunction, my chest and head hit the steering wheel leaving me with a concussion and significant bruising/soreness on my chest. In addition, my airbag did not deploy, but the light for the airbag on the dash is now lit and the information display states "check airbag system".

Seat Belt problem #4

Front end collision in clearwater FL in which the seat belt did not restrain the driver and the air bag did not deploy. Driver's head hit windshield, he has significant head, neck and back injuries. The vehicle, a 2003 Honda civic is a total loss. The car's srs light had come on approx. 1 month before the accident. A Honda dealer replaced a part needed for that approx. 2 weeks before the accident.
