3 Equipment problem

Failure Date: 10/30/2014

Good morning: we don't have an incident to report, however, I'm writing to inquire about the potential of an airbag defect in our Honda. I've contacted (by phone) Honda America and our local Honda dealer with a promise of a return call, but none yet. Your website mentioned that the VIN# search for recalls covers the last 14 years. What about those of us who have a vehicle older than that? our crv was purchased over 15 years ago and I'm assuming it has a takata airbag but I can't find any information on how safe it is? if need be, I would even be willing to purchase a replacement for the driver and passenger bags but I need to know first if the current system is considered potentially faulty? can you help? many thanks,.
