The contact owns a 2002 Honda Cr-v equipped with primewell tires, tire line: pf850, tire size: 205/70r/15, dot number: y9cdcjtx. The contact stated that while the daughter was driving approximately 40 mph the rear driver's side tire experienced a flat. While inspecting the tire if was discovered that the tire had develop a crack which extended from the sidewall to the top of the tire. The contact indicated that the same failure had previously occurred on the rear passenger side tire. The cause of the failures were not yet determined. The manufacturer and local dealer were not yet contacted regarding the failures. The tire's failure mileage was 20,000.

2 Tire problem

Failure Date: 06/29/2012

Left rear tire with approx 45,000 miles on it blew at 70mph on open highway, resulting in loss of control of vehicle, rollover, driver injured.

3 Tire problem

While driving at highway speed. Consumer heard a loud noise. Driver pulled over, and noticed the rear passenger side tire center was completely gone.
