Power Window problems of the 2005 Honda CR-V

The contact owns a 2005 Honda Cr-v. The contact stated while driving at an undisclosed speed, there was a burning odor in the interior of the vehicle. The contact arrived at the destination and discovered that the driver's side power window master switch was inoperable and melted. The contact stated that the failure was related to the NHTSA campaign number: 20v768000 (visibility, electrical system) however, the VIN was not included in the recall. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired by an independent mechanic or dealer. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 173,000.

The failure mileage was approximately 96,000.

Regarding 2006 Honda crv. Problem - drivers side window auto function not working properly. Problem began prior to the vehicle reaching 30,000 miles. Window stops going up as if it hit an obstruction. Sometimes will not go down at all. Dealer wouldn't identify the problem for another 10,000 miles, but it was determined that the window regulator had too much play in it. Honda also supposedly issued a bulletin to its dealers regarding problems resulting from water and debris getting into the window mechanisms.

On oct. 19,2007 I heard a pop inside my door, the window failed. I had to have a new window regulator assembly installed. Honda has recalled this model but has failed to do any thing about it.
