The vsa and check engine light will frequently come on and then if I take the vehicle over 2500 rpms I will lose power and the engine will stutter. This happens in anytime the vehicle is in motion, whether it's city streets or highway.
The contact owns a 2006 Honda Cr-v. The contact stated while driving approximately 65 mph, the engine rpms increased excessively and there was a sudden loss of power. The check engine warning light illuminated. The vehicle was towed to a dealer where the failure was unable to be replicated. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The approximate failure and current mileage was 92,000.
On may 8th, I drove my 2006 Honda Cr-v home from a restaurant. I traveled about 25 miles per hour in my neighborhood. My Honda Cr-v suddenly shut off engine and restarted itself. The vsa light, check engine light and one more light came on. I was so scared. On may 10th, I took my car to Honda dealer to be checked out. They told me that the vehicle stability assistance (vsa) system failed after I owned the car for four years and at 45000+ miles. Dealer told me it cost $2300 dollars to replace the system. I did not accept it. I asked dealer and America Honda corp. To help. Finally they agreed I paid $725 dollars for the entire repair.
