1 Equipment problem

Failure Date: 07/19/2023

I have a 2006 Honda crv with a little over 297,780 miles. Upon starting the car, the vsa and abs indicator lights came on along with the vsa warning triangle and would not go off until the engine was turned off. There were no accidents or any noticeable problems with the vehicle while driving on city street under good conditions. I feel that this defect is essential in ensuring the overall safety of this car. The weight of the car is significant enough that an uncontrolled skid is much more likely to end in disaster than a skid that is stopped with the vsa and abs function working properly. I feel that Honda should recall these cars and replace the vsa modulator unit entirely at Honda's expense. And for those who have already paid for the repair - reimburse the full amount of the repair! since this component controls brakes and stability it seems to me to be a safety issue and therefore subject to a recall.

2 Equipment problem

Failure Date: 04/08/2023

Stabilizer bars broken Honda dealer reports frame is badly rusted.

3 Equipment problem

Failure Date: 08/01/2022

Driver side window does not operate.

4 Equipment problem

Failure Date: 05/26/2022

The vechile stability assist (vsa) light came on and took it too my Honda mechanic and confirmed that the anti-lock brake system(abs) module needs to be replaced and this disabled the vsa. Parts+labor over $2,600+ to fix. Called the manufacturer (Honda) and told me that I would have too first get it fixed and then submit the bill to them and they may reimburse me some of the cost or nothing. Since the abs component controls brake and stability this a safety issue and therefore subject to a recall. I looked on the web and in the united kingdom and canada that Honda has paid in full. In the us, Honda doesn't consider it a defect and thus won't reimburse the owner's for fixing the vehicle. Once again because this an safety issue I believe that Honda should recall these vehicles and cost should be covered by Honda.

5 Equipment problem

Failure Date: 05/03/2022

Both cigarette outlets have stopped working causing long trips dangerous due to not being able to charge cellular phones.

6 Equipment problem

Failure Date: 08/17/2021

My car gets up to 2500 rpms and the check engine light comes on and the vsa warning light as well. The car jerks hard and the engine stutters and won't hardly go. It's done this to me twice and I had the ecu reset. The diagnostic comes up as the vsa system modulator. I have had my 6 and 9 year old granddaughters in the car with me. If I had been on the interstate in heavy traffic taking them to their doctor appointments, we would have been killed. The third time this thing went out I had to pull into the shoulder of the road to avoid being hit. I believe Honda knows about this problem and they should be made to replace the part for free. This is a major safety hazard and the part runs almost $2000 without the labor. I believe they want to drag their feet and not recall this part because it's so expensive. I don't want to die in my car and I can't afford to buy another one. Thanks.

7 Equipment problem

Failure Date: 06/01/2021

The transmission is making a loud noise (whining noise) and it could fail at any moment while I'm driving it. The car has 100,000 miles only.

8 Equipment problem

Failure Date: 09/22/2017

I was driving and all of the sudden the car starting acting strange - acceleration was very weak, steering was heavy, and when I was stopped car would nearly stall. Engine light came on, which was alarming. I took car into Honda dealer and after doing some research they said I needed a software update due to a glitch in the initial software and charged me $224 which I was not happy to pay. This is clearly a defect in their car software since I didn't do anything that would have affected their car software. It could have been very dangerous had the loss of acceleration occurred on the freeway, threatening my safety and the safety of others.

9 Equipment problem

Failure Date: 04/20/2017

At a certain speed my front passenger side sounds like its on a rumble strip.

10 Equipment problem

Failure Date: 01/03/2017

Takata recall low beam headlight stops working headlight bulbs continue to blow. Then can blow after a couple of months.

11 Equipment problem

Failure Date: 09/04/2016

Honda Cr-v leaks rainwater onto floors of vehicle. An inch of water in the passenger compartment makes it dangerous to operate pedals which become slippery from footware, water damage to fire extinguisher and other safety equipment stored on floor for times of emergency. Many, many complaints from other Cr-v owners experiencing the same problem online. I dried out the carpet, it rained again and another inch of water inside the vehicle. If mildew/mold grows this becomes a serious health hazard jepordizing anyone riding in the vehicle, especially those with compramised immune systems.

12 Equipment problem

Failure Date: 07/25/2016

I heard that my vehicle has a recall on the ac. Would like to verify this issue, I have got lots of problems with this problem.

13 Equipment problem

The lighting in the dash are not clearly on. I have noise coming from the rear when making a right or left turns.

14 Equipment problem

Failure Date: 01/22/2016

Driver's side sun visor will not stay up. It constantly drops down and blocks my view. If I want to be able to see I either have to hold the visor up with one hand or lay my seat back more. Both of these situations are major safety hazards. There are numerous complaints about the same problem. Honda wants over $100 to replace one sun visor - a monopoly for them.

15 Equipment problem

Failure Date: 09/15/2015

The driver side sun visor swung down from the headliner while I was driving on the freeway a few months ago. Fortunately, I was driving straight on the 210 freeway. Ever since the incident, it would not stay up against the headliner.

16 Equipment problem

Failure Date: 05/26/2015

The sunroof glass suddenly exploded while I was travelling south on i684 in westchester county NY. Fortunately, the sun shade was closed, and we were protected from the shattering glass.

17 Equipment problem

Failure Date: 11/07/2014

I received from Honda a safety recall notice to have my front airbag inflator replaced at no charge. I took it to auto nation Honda miami lakes 5925 NW 167 st miami, FL 33015. My car was there for 6 hours, when I picked it up they told me that they weren't authorized to perform the recall because they didn't have the original part. I'm sending this information to let you know in case something happens. I can't waste my time missing work to have this fixed when the dealer doesn't even have the original part. I'm pretty sure that if I had to buy this piece then the dealer would have it, but because it's free they don't care.

18 Equipment problem

Failure Date: 06/12/2014

Compressor clutch gets so hot if the a/c is ran it melts or burns around clutch and compressor no heat shields . . . (possible fire hazard). . . .

19 Equipment problem

Failure Date: 08/01/2013

For months, sun visor hung low, not blocking visibility, but it would not return to normal, upright position. Eventually had a complete failure of visor where it neither closes nor blocks sun, merely hangs and causes visibility issues. Because of its position, it also regularly hits my head if exiting vehicle or leaning forward for any reason. Honda recalled many civics for this reason but have done nothing to repair Cr-vs.

20 Equipment problem

Failure Date: 11/22/2012

Driver side sun visor will not stay up. I went to Honda owners' website and people are complaining about the same problem. There are Honda Cr-v owners who had replaced the sun visors on their cars more than three times. They and I think it's a safety issue since drivers don't have protection from sunlight and have difficulty seeing the traffic lights when the sun visor is down.

21 Equipment problem

Failure Date: 06/01/2012

Tl- the contact owns a 2006 Honda Cr-v. The contact stated while the car was parked the interior light dashboard and and dome light flickering. Also front driver and passanger headlight goes in out while the contact is driving ,as well the contact has a failure with front driver side power window motor is going in and out where the window will get stuck not going all the way down or up.
