1 Automatic Transmission Torque Converter problem

Takata recall. The contact owns a 2007 Honda Cr-v. The contact stated that the vehicle stalled and shook severely without warning. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the transmission and torque converter failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. In addition, the contact received notification of NHTSA campaign number: 16v061000 (air bags); however, the part to do the repair was unavailable. The contact stated that the manufacturer exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was notified. The failure mileage was approximately 164,000.
