1 Door Latch problem

Failure Date: 03/12/2018

Tl the contact owns a 2007 Honda Cr-v. The contact stated that the passenger side door latches functioned independently and unlocked the doors even after being manually locked. The failure occurred without warning. The vehicle was taken to sussman Honda (1543 easton rd, abington, PA 19001), but the technician refused to perform the repair per the Honda extended warranty due to the stipulation that only the driver's side lock was covered and due to the age of the vehicle. The manufacturer was not notified. The failure mileage was approximately 101,657.

2 Door Latch problem

Failure Date: 12/01/2016

2007 Honda Cr-v. Consumer writes in regards to vehicle door locks recall problems, remedy not available to repair driver front airbag inflator and rental vehicle payment issues. The consumer stated the door locks, automatically unlocked on their own. Also the doors would not unlock, when the vehicle was in park.

3 Door Latch problem

Failure Date: 10/24/2016

The contact owns a 2007 Honda Cr-v. The contact stated that the vehicle made an abnormal clicking noise. The failure occurred without warning. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the rear driver side door latches were defective and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact stated that the vehicle worked normally prior to the vehicle being taken to the dealer. The dealer was remedied per NHTSA campaign numbers: 16v346000 (air bags), 16v061000 (air bags), and a service campaign for the door latches. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 107,000.

4 Door Latch problem

Failure Date: 07/01/2014

2007 Honda crv. Consumer writes in regards to door lock issues. The consumer stated the doors locked as soon as he closed the driver's door. The only way to get out of the vehicle was by taking the key out of the ignition switch and using the unlock button on the key. However, two seconds later, it locked again.

5 Door Latch problem

Failure Date: 12/07/2013

The contact owns a 2007 Honda Cr-v. The contact stated that both rear driver and passenger side doors failed to lock or unlock remotely or manually. The contact also mentioned that the lift gate failed. The vehicle was taken to a dealer for a diagnosis. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. 6 Door Latch problem

Failure Date: 05/29/2010

The contact owns a 2007 Honda Cr-v. The contact was attempting to enter the vehicle and the door would not open and the alarm sounded. After repeated attempts he was able to enter the vehicle. As soon as he closed the door, the power locks engaged and the alarm sounded with the contact locked in the vehicle. After approximately 25 minutes, the driver was able to unlock the doors and exit the vehicle. The alarm shut off. The vehicle was taken to an authorized dealer where the contact was informed that the door latch was defective. The vehicle was not serviced and the failure has recurred each time the vehicle was operated. The failure mileage was 51,000 and the current mileage was 51,500.
