1 Wiper problem

Failure Date: 07/19/2015

Tl- the contact owns a 2009 Honda Cr-v. The contact stated that while traveling approximately 65 mph, there was an abnormal noise and then the sunroof exploded with no warning. The failure caused the glass to fracture. The dealer was notified of the failure. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic, who was able to order the parts to replace the glass and the seals for the sunroof. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 75,000. Pam.

2 Wiper problem

Failure Date: 03/20/2015

Drove about 30 miles in rainy weather with the wipers working perfectly fine at a steady speed, when suddenly I noticed that the wipers were sluggish. Then the wipers stopped working completely while it was raining and I was on the highway. I tried to get them to work but they wouldn't budge. The rear wiper was still working. I panicked as I thought I may have engine problems. I headed for the nearest exit. When I took it to the dealer for service check, they said that the wiper motor needed to be replaced. Defective wipers are a safety hazard as my visibility was impaired without the use of functioning wipers. Honda should pay for this repair as it is very costly over $500.

3 Wiper problem

Failure Date: 02/02/2015

While driving in the rain the wipers were on delay and turned on completely by themselves. I tried to turn them off and they would not turn off. I turned them back to delay and eventually, they started to operate correctly. The incident re-occurs from time to time.

4 Wiper problem

Failure Date: 01/18/2013

Windshield washer fluid to front windshield froze, outside temp in teens to twenties. Able to defrost by pouring hot water on nozzles but refreezes within minutes at highway speed. Washer fluid rated to -20 being used. Occurs even with alcohol added to fluid. Dangerous problem in wintry areas!!.

5 Wiper problem

Failure Date: 12/01/2009

Ice build up on the windshield of the passenger side occurs whenever there is snow or freezing rain. This has been a constant problem since the car was new. Even with the defroster on the highest setting this occurs. I bought an awd vehicle as I live in vermont so expected a defroster that would perform under freezing conditions. While driving on snow or ice, the ice build up on the windshield affects visibility so greatly that I have to stop driving and try to break up ice on the windshield and wipers. This is not safe to do during bad weather.
