Air Conditioner problems of the 2010 Honda CR-V

Honda air conditioning. My car has had nothing but problems with its air. My air died again & when I went online I saw that Honda had a class action suit that I was never informed of, which involved my car. I spoke with Honda on Friday & they asked me to bring my car in for diagnostic, which I did the next day in 95 degree heat. When the dealership found out I was aware of the class action suit & that I had contacted Honda, they did everything they could to shift blame for the problem onto us, as my husband had put freon into the car. The diagnostic was supposed to be free, but within minutes, their rep was asking me to pay $225 for a diagnostic, which I can't afford, as I am disabled. When the car was finished they told me that they wouldn't cover anything, as it was my husbands fault the condenser was bad & that it would be $1800 to have it fixed or I could trade it in on another car. Oh, & that I shouldn't use the air system at all, as it could spew out metal shards which could cause further damage. If we had been notified that there was an issue with the air, we would have never touched the system, & to me it seemed that Honda is trying to screw Honda owners over by not taking responsibility for something that should have been recalled. There are thousands of complaints filed about this issue & I'm sure there are thousands more people, like myself, that had no knowledge that there was a defect in this system. They notified me when my car had the problems with catching fire, & notified & then took their sweet time replacing my airbags, so why wouldn't they notify me about something as serious as metal shards blowing into my face & body? I am disabled & only use my car to get back & forth to my medical appointments & can't afford $1800 for a car I only use occasionally? it is a 2010 with 52k miles. Can someone help Honda owners please?.

Air conditioner problem that didn't arise until well after the 7 year or 100,000 miles. I am on year 9 and 7,000 miles over and nothing can be done about this. It is a known issues and it is still happening. A friend of mine has a crv also but a 2017 to my 2010 and he has the same issue. Not as bad but still. Why should we have to pay out of pocket for something Honda knows about and still puts in there vehicles!.

I wish to complain about my 2010 Honda crv. I am having issues with my air conditioning unit. When it is hot, it blows hot air even when it is set on the lowest temperature. However, when it is nighttime it will blow cold air. Honda evacuated and recharged the system only for me to experience the same issues two months later. I was then told that I needed to replace the ac compressor, coil set, clutch set, etc. I went to get a second opinion and I was told that the ac compressor would not even power on due to electrical issues. In relation to electrical issues, my car also stalled about a year ago and I was able to have that issue rectify without taking it to Honda.

Problems with the air conditioning condensers or compressors. The ac compressor may seize resulting in loss of cold air from the ac vents. Often when the compressor fails in the fashion, debris is spread through out the entire air conditioning system resulting in very expensive repairs. Hot sunny and humid day heading to work when turning on the air conditioning it blows warm to hot air as the car is already warm from the sun it doesnt blow cold air and if it does its rarely and wont last long. I have seen a lawsuit was filed and settled but my year of the car wasnt mentioned but seems to be more than just mine as well. Just purchased October 2016.

My air conditioner was working fine on aride down to yakee stadium, on the way home it just would not work, he garae mech. Told me the compressor was not working, I bought this car in oct. Of 2009, the 2009 models and before had recalls for this problem, I was wondering if my car has the same problem, I checked the heater it orks just fine. Maybe my air system is still the sme as the 2009 models as bought it in 2009.

Air conditioning blowing cold and hot; many reports of this on websites regarding 2010 Honda crv. The blower is working fine but the air conditioning goes from cold to neutral over and over again with no other symptoms. Vehicle is on and in motion when this happens. There is no recall that I can find regarding the situation.

2010 Honda crv. Consumer writes in regards to a/c compressor clutch warranty extension and reimbursement claim. The consumer stated she noticed an increasing noise coming from the ac compressor. Even though the vehicle had been regularly serviced by Honda, potential ac problems were never checked or brought to her attention. Upon having the vehicle repaired, the consumer was informed the problem was a wear and tear item, not associated with the noted failures Honda's had been experiencing with the ac system for a period of nearly 10 years.
