1. Air bags should have been changed @ the same time! when takata's dangerous airbags were discovered they bith should have been removed & replaced immediately! instead my family has been @ risk for far too long! I bought my Honda crv ex-l brand new! I've been driving in a death trap ever since! why was Honda not required to change both airbags? 2. I've read multiple complaints on the ac compressor/clutch's that Honda has known (for 10 years) were dangerously placed, create malfunction of costly ac systems, (children die in hot cars far too often) from heat strokes, etc. As posted on your website! the ac/compressors pick up hazardous materials/waste that is then pushed throughout the ac unit! airport Honda has had knowledge before my warranty expired of this problem in crvs. They did not disclose this costly issue, neglected to fix it, & it did malfunction. I paid for costly repairs, & I paid Honda for a platinum vehicle warranty! I'm concerned that NHTSA has not held Honda responsible for this stating it's not safety issue when it very clearly is! as a nurse & parent I put my child in a carseat which automatically increases his temperature. Then you add ac issues in TN record heat & humidity (which also affects the airbags) & it's a deadly combination! this is a serious issue,& it is NHTSA's responsibility to hold Honda accountable for their choices not inform their customers & continue putting them in danger. Tn is known for brutal heat, humidity, asthma, & allergens! this is a public safety issue. I have my paperwork to legitimize my claim! investigate this, make Honda notify customers! most people can't afford these repairs! we have had 90 degree days this October, ,& my crv is blowing hot air again! please contact me immediately & investigate this as a safety issue! okease forgibe the all caps, but this is ridiculous! I expect more from Honda & more from you.

Viper 4105 remote start system installed 11/19/2013 by an authorized dealer (waxwerks indianapolis, in). Over the next three years the starter was used sporadically and the system was re-programed twice when malfunctioning. On 11/07/2016 the remote start function was tested in anticipation of colder weather and worked as required. On 11/08/2016 after being driven to the local library and turned off the vehicle attempted to start on its own with no one inside or near the vehicle and the remote controls three miles away from the vehicle. The same incident happened again several times a day on 11/09, 11/10 and 11/11. In all cases the remote controls were not in or near the vehicle and the vehicle had been turned off according to normal procedure. On 11/11 we went to dinner and following dinner went to a local music club. When parked outside the music club the vehicle attempted to start three times after being turned off and the doors locked. Following the music club the vehicle was pulled into the garage and the garage door was closed. As we entered the house from the attached garage the vehicle started and continued to run even though the keys had been removed and the ignition turned off. The vehicle was immediately moved outside the garage until the problem could be resolved. On Saturday, 11/12 the vehicle was taken to waxwerks (6816 east 82nd street, indianapolis, in 46250) and the viper 4105 was removed and the vehicle electrical system restored to ome. The viper 410 and the two remote starters are in my possession. In all the above cases the vehicle was stationary on a city street or a private parking lot/ drive way. I have the original viper documentation and the installation receipt. When the viper 4205 was removed on 11/12 waxwerks did not charge for the labor and did not provide a receipt. They did return the originally installed unit to me.

The vtc acuator is an issue on this car. The "recall" listed for this VIN is 36,000 miles or 3 years, whichever comes first. This is criminal as no one will experience this issue within that time frame. It lets the manufacturer off the hook. Honda knows this is an issue as it affects many makes and models of Honda cars (there is even a class action lawsuit for this particular issue for the 2014 Honda crv). The car grinds at the start, sometimes not starting at all, due to high oil consumption because of the faulty vtc acuator. The cost to replace this part is $750 and does not even solve the problem. It has been documented that the problem can often reoccur after another 10,000 miles. We were once planning on staying loyal Honda customers, but this fraudulence has convinced us to switch to a different manufacturer and tell everyone we know to do the same.

Takata recall-I went to paragon Honda service station after receiving a notice from dmv about the airbag recall. That was back in August 2016 they took down my information and said they would notify me. Since then I have called them and checked the website and nothing has happened. I'm am afraid to drive the car because in the event of an accident this could prove to be fatal. I contacted Honda corporate since contacting paragon has proven to be useless. The provided me with a case number 05807660 spoke someone named dani very snotty.

Failure Date: 08/06/2015

For some reason the car lost all electricity while we were stopped at a red stoplight. Could not restart the car. Could not open any doors, not the driver's side, nor passenger side. Could not open any windows. Car was stationary on a busy city street. It was dangerous. I could see cars approaching from the rear and they had no idea I was stuck. I had no way to turn on the emergency flashers, no way to stick my arm out the window to signal anyone of the danger nor of our distress. Fortunately a nice stranger took it upon himself to push our car out of the roadway. This happened on 8/6/2015. - - - - - now something similar happened two days ago, I'll submit it separately. This 8/2015 incident was the first involving being trapped in this car.

Door lock actuator problem: drivers rear door lock is in open mode to lock and unlock. Honda dealer tested and then replaced door lock actuator. Due to the same actuator problem Honda settled a class action law suit for class vehicles (2007-2008 Honda Cr-vs and certain 2009 Honda Cr-vs) on September 19, 2014, by and between american Honda motor CO. , inc. (“Honda”) and plaintiffs in davitt v. Honda north America, inc. , case no. 13-381 (d. N. J. ) (the “litigation”). . Read more...

Failure Date: 03/19/2014

I filed a claim/complaint April 6, 2014 for premature wear for continental 225/65r17-102t tires equipped on 2011 Honda Cr-v to continental &Honda. Continental advertises tires are warranted for 65,000 miles or 6 years. It became necessary to replace all 4 tires 3/19/14 at 31,013 miles or less than half the expected life of the tire. The vehicle and tires consistently were serviced by accredited Honda dealer & tire pressure maintained. Additionally, on April 6, 2012 the right rear tire went flat with no cause provided and replaced at a cost of $193. 00. I have received no compensation for that tire. Subsequently, on 4/22/14 Honda representative michael responded to my letter of 4/6/14. He referred me to continental tire & denied any compensation from Honda. On 4/23/14, “jessie” with continental tires called to confirm they “never guarantee or warrant mileage on tires”. She specifically directed me to adjustment policy, #3. "tread wearout up to a predetermined mileage is not covered under this policy. "she, too, refused any adjustment or resolution to the premature tire wear. Additionally, she would not consider the tire replaced 4/6/12 because the dealer did not file a claim. Honda corporation unilaterally contracts with continental to provide the 225/65r17-102t tires for their Cr-v product. The customer cannot substitute the brand of tires. Honda continues to equip Cr-v models with continental 225/65r17-102t tires even though they have been on notice of poor tread performance for years and continue the relationship knowing continental does not warrant the product. Continental will not give an adjustment and Honda claims they are not responsible. Neither continental or Honda will provide, in writing, their basis for denial nor would they allow me to speak to a supervisor.

48 Equipment problem

Failure Date: 02/22/2014

With 23,700 miles, Honda dealer informed me that tires would have to be replaced due to "excessive wear and tear". Have learned that many 2011 crv owners have experienced this problem, and that although Honda issued a TSB on the tire matter, they have provided no cause, recall or monetary incentive. Is it suspension, alignment, what? furthermore have been ill all winter and car has hardly moved from the garage, it worries me that something is defective causing this tire problem, and Honda has not stepped up to the plate for resolution or assistance.

49 Equipment problem

Failure Date: 04/23/2013

I was driving to work on the freeway and heard a noise like air rushing. My tire pressure light came on and I pulled over. The tire blew out in two places on the inside of the left rear tire. Road was clear, didn't hit anything, tire just blew out. I was amazed when I saw others with Honda Cr-v's had the same problems. I am going to replace all the tires tomorrow. I will not buy another one of bridgestone tires. . Ever. I just had the tires rotated at Honda last Friday and the car serviced. Honda wanted to sell me another bridgestone for 183. 00. They can keep their bridgestone tires.

On the the 2011 Honda odyssey ex-l (your drop down menu does not give the odyssey as an option. . But it is the odyssey), the driver's side mirror has a distortion on the outer edge of the mirror which causes the driver to experience dizziness when looking at vehicles at distance. This has been reported by numerous drivers on the web but neither Honda nor criswell Honda in rockville maryland will do anything about the mirror until a Honda bulletin is released which will probably be after an accident.
