The contact owns a 2011 Honda Cr-v. The contact stated that the vehicle failed to lock or unlock while using the key fob from outside the vehicle, or while pushing the unlock button inside the vehicle. The contact also stated that the vehicle would repeatedly lock and unlock independently while driving. The contact attempted to notify the dealer but was unable to reach a representative. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 170,000. The VIN was not available.
The contact's client owns a 2011 Honda Cr-v. The contact stated that while his client was driving at undisclosed speeds, the driver’s side door lock actuator mechanism would independently lock and unlock on all four doors without warning. The contact's client could hear the doors locking and unlocking while driving. The vehicle was taken to the independent mechanic where he determined that the door lock actuator was defective and needed to be replaced. The contact called millennium Honda (286 n franklin st, hempstead, NY 11550) and north shore Honda (611 glen cove rd, glen head, NY 11545) where the contact was informed by both dealers that there were no recalls on the vehicle. The manufacturer had yet to be notified of the failure. The vehicle had yet to be repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 139,000.
