1 Brake Disc Caliper problem

Failure Date: 01/22/2020

The rear brake pads and rotor on the passenger rear tire were destroyed in less than 2,000 miles and replaced with new parts twice from different manufacturers. A third set of rotor and brake pads and a caliper was installed and they failed within 2 weeks. The car has less than 78,000 miles on it and I have been the only owner. The Honda dealership replaced the rear driver side caliper, pads, and rotor at 35,000 miles for a similar problem.

2 Brake Disc Caliper problem

Failure Date: 06/26/2014

Vehicle was 14 months old and was driven every 1-2 days. Vehicle had to be towed to dealership after a caliper "froze" to the right rear rotor after sitting overnight in the garage. Dealer reported that all four rotors were heavily oxidized and kept insisting that the car must have been sitting for many weeks or months. Dealer claimed there was nothing wrong with the brake pads and only resurfaced the rotors. Dealer repeatedly made false claim about Honda maintenance requirement that the rotors be cleaned every year.
