1 Suspension problem

Failure Date: 08/22/2025

Service bulletin 16-012 was issued for 2013 crv for the vtc actuator. This is obviously an issue that Honda is aware of but is refusing to fix. I’ve had to replace this part twice at the same interval of time. The first replacement was covered under my warranty however now that I am out of warranty this repair costs almost 3,000$. I contacted american Honda who refuses to provide good will even though they are aware this is a known issue. I was advised that if this wasn’t repaired it would be a safety issue. I believe this should be covered on Hondas dime especially if this has to replaced multiple times at no fault of the customer.

5 Suspension problem

Failure Date: 10/18/2021

Transmission shakes or quivers around 25-30 mph. At speed above 35mph right rear suspension (axle) shakes, quivers. I was checking for a recall because of all the complaints of same issues on Honda owners website. The car is becoming unsafe to drive. This is the first effort I have made to research problem. The Honda website indicated a 2013 crv recall but not for my VIN number.

6 Suspension problem

Failure Date: 04/07/2020

Front wheel bearings wore out at approximately 50,000 miles. Steering became difficult and the bearings produced a lot of noise. Both front wheels affected. Dealer replaced bearings and no problems since.

7 Suspension problem

Failure Date: 08/08/2015

I got into my car and because the weather was nice, I turned off the air conditioner and lowered the back windows. I entered the interstate highway, and when my speed reached 40 mph, a loud roar came from the back of the car and the back started shaking and vibrating. I was scared and pulled off the road. I thought the suspension or the wheels/tires had failed. I made a visual inspection and could see no problem. A Honda dealer was near, so I slowly drove to their service bay. When I told my problem to a woman at the service desk she immediately told me that it was a compression problem that all of these vehicles had when the back windows were down. I asked if the salespersons were supposed to tell the customer about this problem and she said no.

8 Suspension problem

Failure Date: 03/15/2015

The contact owns a 2013 Honda Cr-v. While the vehicle was stopped, the contact noticed a hanging wire and the all wheel drive continuously illuminated. The vehicle was taken to a dealer where it was diagnosed that the cover for the axle was hanging and the electronic all wheel drive sensor cracked and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired, but the failure recurred. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 28,000. The VIN was not available.

9 Suspension problem

Failure Date: 02/10/2015

On 2/10/2014, around 8:50 am est I was alone and driving to office when my car skid and lost control. Due to the momentum car had gained it went to a free spin. Though this car is equipped with awd and abs system, it still could not correct the skid and went out of control. It dashed against a tree on the pathway from the passenger side. This impact resulted in driver side air bags to deploy, however it exploded instead of inflating. This incident has resulted in injuries to my hand, neck and back. Recently I have heard recalls from Honda related to faulty air bags, however did not find any open recalls for my vehicle.
