Parking Brake problem #1

The contact owns a 2018 Honda Cr-v. The contact stated that while attempting to use the remote start, the vehicle failed to start. The vehicle had to be started manually, and once started, the parking brake, air bags, check engine, tpms, and the service vehicle warning lights were illuminated. The failure was intermittent; however, the warning lights occasionally illuminated while driving at various speeds or while idling. The vehicle was taken to a certified mechanic, who was unable to determine the cause of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not informed of the failure. The failure mileage was unknown.

Parking Brake problem #2

Tl the contact owns a 2018 Honda Cr-v. While driving 15 mph, the brakes failed. When the contact depressed the brake pedal, it would not depress and the entire electrical system went out. The instrument panel gauges lit up and flashed. The vehicle drove through a stop sign and over railroad tracks. The emergency brake did not engage. The contact let the vehicle roll to a stop. The contact turned off and restarted the vehicle several times, but the failure recurred. After three attempts, the contact was able to pull the vehicle to the middle of the road and had it towed to a dealer. Airport Honda (3069 alcoa hwy, alcoa, TN 37701, (865) 970-2300) instructed the contact to have Honda roadside service tow the vehicle to them for diagnostic testing. The contact informed the dealer that she felt unsafe in the vehicle and did not want it back. The manufacturer was not contacted. The failure mileage was 28,000.
